LarryH57 Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Guys, I need help in trying to search for a photo in IWM. The trouble is I cannot remember the whole number reference. Its in CH 137.... range but when ever I try to search CH I get 77 pages of random CH numbered photos but not in any order! What I want to figure out is how to search individual reference numbers in sequence. Any clues Many thanks NB - Are all their photos online yet? Tony B Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I was in the IWM London, Saturday afternoon. No not all the pictures are on line, there are about 150,000 odd. Ivor Ramsden Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) I'm sure that you used to be able to search by number a lot more easily than you can now. I haven't been able to work out how to do it so I search by subject, eg Bofors, then use the filters that come up on the left side of the search page. You can filter by period, place etc, and this soon brings the number of hits down to a managable level. Of course, then you'll find that your picture isn't online! Good luck. I presume I call and say I'd like to come on such a date? The Research room is Monday to Friday only. The libary and on line roon are open and staffed on a Saturday.
