landyandy
on saturday we flipped the girder trailer bogey with the foden and removed all the wheel stations to get to the rocker beams which have seized up through lack of use . we tried various means of removing the pins but will now have to cut the storntions in half to get the beams out and send them away to be pressed out,bit more work than we wanted but we need the trailer for shows taking the conq this year.its so easy when you have all the right machines at hand
landyandy
started cutting off the rocker beam supports yesterday and found why the pins are seized ,they have corroded in the bronze bushes so off they go to the 300 ton press to get them out hopefully
landyandy
the pins are out at last, had to get them red hot for the 300 ton press to get them out, they are now back to be machined and new bushes made up

Bedfordrl
Don't know if this will work http://360.io/SJvLqs but this is a shot before we moved the Amazon until the rear bogie was in line and then removed the rear bogie with the Contractor and took into the museum with part of the rear frame attached so it can be repaired, the rear cross bracing is damaged , and shot blasted and painted. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd250/Bedfordrl/058-1.jpg Edited August 21, 2012 by Bedfordrl
