dave2162
I visited the former RAF UPWOOD station and found these 2 PT-76s But how do u go about finding out who owns them
P Bellamy
I believe they are something to do with the paintball people who use that part of the site.
mitch
Its airsoft not paintball! The sites run by a chap called Frank who is the onwer of a firm called fire support, based in peterborough. They run the games on the site, I am not sure he actually owns the pt76's but he is your best bet on finding out who does.
andym
The airsoft firm is Urban Assault and there's mention of the PT76s on their site: http://www.urbanassault.org.uk/ I recall reading somewhere that the PT76s were originally in full running order but then something happened to the owner and they ended up at RAF Upwood. berna2vm
Totally agree. I think the PT76 is a great little machine and it is a shame that they are sat around in such an unloved manner. They would get more tlc up in Yorkshire !!!
DUKWMAN
These PT76's are 2 of 9 imported from Bosnia/croatia by Bob Fleming 4 or 5 years ago, I thought the engines and gearboxes were removed ?. I bought a couple off Bob at the time which I did get running and were at the Ponderosa show this year and still there on display. Love to find out who's they are as I triggered off my fire extinguishers and could do with replacements - most of the gear was in them but 10 years dumped in Bosnia had seen them used as smoking dens and drinking hides for local youths so instruments smashed and pleny of graffitti. kpu121265
"I triggered off my fire extinguishers....." - could be worse Mark. Can you not get them recharged? Ken
