Greeting from Sydney, and the Museum of Fire.

 

We are a fire service preservation group with about 70 vehicles (hand drawn, horse drawn and motorised) and other memorabilia and ephemera.

 

Our vehicles include some ex military, converted for firefighting:

1942 CMP Ford F60 (ex refueler tanker)

1942 CMP Chev C60 (ex GS truck)

1942 GMC CCKW (ex decontamination unit)

1960 Thornycroft Nubian (ex RAAF/ Civil Aviation)

1963 International Mk 5 (ex GS truck)

1963 Land Rover 2A (ex Army fire tender)

 

indirectly related to the group, we also have RR powered fire engines

1955 Dennis F2 (B80)

1970 Dennis F44 (B81)

Hi Brian,

 

Welcome to the forum. I visited your museum about 12 years ago and it is a superb collection. When I talked to one of your staff and said how I had been involved in restoring some fire engines for a collection in England, he showed me other unrestored vehicles in a storage building.
