hi its time for the jeep to come out of garage going to fit new batteries this weekend x2 = 24volt

been stood a while so going to give it an oil change too , question which grade motor oil do i need to use ?

I'd have thought a good 20/50 such as Valvoline would do it. That's what i use never any problems.

I always use straight SAE30 in mine, again with no problems.

Halford's are now doing a synthtic 20/50 for classic vehicles. Strange greeny blue colour, but seems to work ok. I'd still rather use valvoline mineral oil.

good quality 20w/50 classic motor oil works best, such as the comma or morris etc, will help keep good pressure even on very long motor way trips.

also now needs a new carb or new carb kit , new lift pump or repair kit an oil and fuel filter ,wheres the best place to get these and how much £££££ , :cellphone:

Just taken the Dodge to Jersey running on the Halford's classic 20/50. No problems oil pressure stayed up even when idiling after long runs, no oil use.

You're being a bit slow off the mark getting on the road this year aren't you. In a couple of days it will be June already! I've done over 600 miles in Jessie since January, although only four events as things start slowly until May/June. Passed my MOT a couple of days ago, no advisories, so rather relieved! I always get nervous at MOT time!

yes mate been stood in garage a while because toddler took over for a while , just had to give it a major service ready for june and theres a show local to me next weekend weather permitting wartime clumber near worksop ,:-)

We're off to Debach Airfield in Suffolk next weekend. First long trip and camping weekend with our 6 month old which should be interesting!!

I'm towing the Jeep down! She's a bit small yet, but next year I'm going to fit a child seat in the Jeep for more local events.

wow great stuff , weve been travelling around in renault scenic non olive drab to shows ect but now glad to have the jeep out again , looking forward to W&P ,,:-)

Lynne is using her own car to go to more local shows with little legs this year, while I go in the Jeep. Next year we hope we can all go together. That will be dependant on a secure fitting of the child seat in the back of the Jeep.
