I have but one military vehicle, an M52A2 built by International Harvester in 1962. Using original military parts I have added many upgrades, so the truck now weighs 27,000 American pounds.

some of the upgrades I have installed: power steering kit, fording kit(to a water depth of 8 feet), prc-77 transceiver in a vehicle mount, solar battery maintainer, 7)16.00x20 michelin xzl tires on HET combat rims, crane to lift spare tire, front winch, engine heater, fuel line heater, battery heater, cab heater, military- 24v to 12v- 7 channel converter for commercial trailer lights, mud flap kit, heavy duty front spring pack with longer shock absorbers(to handle the extra weight, double shafted transmission PTO(to power the front winch and ?) & transfer case PTO(to power hydraulic pump for a 45,000 lb rear winch from a HET, this I am still working on,) roof rack(used on bridge trucks for camoflage netting but now for camping gear), a pair of 800 series truck air powered wiper moter's, battery cut off, spin on primary fuel and oil filters(aftermarket), halogen headlights(aftermarket.)

My wife and 9 children also enjoy the old truck.

Edward.

Welcome to the forum, nine children, how on earth do you find the time? The truck sounds great after all that retro work.:readpaper:
