Tony B
Don't think you'd ever get to see everything there is in the Salient. Take a walk round the walls thats a journey in military history on its own.

Take a walk round the walls thats a journey in military history on its own. Just returned, I was surprised by the sheer amount of cemeterys around Ypres. poppypiesdad
Hooge crater cemetery where my great great uncle is buried. And all of the above it should be in the national curriculum for all school children to visit. Very sad part of the world to visit . Tony B
Is part of the national curriculum, at the wrong time of year you are falling over school kids. Trouble is ask Steve Mc Guire's son Robby. He knows more about the conflict than the teachers.

Very sad part of the world to visit . Jamie Didn't know that. With all those cemeterys in the area this is the only one I visited. Sorry I didn't know, would have visited his grave otherwise.
