  1. Hi and welcome, has john says above I am part of the team and enjoy it. John is right I did not have anything to do with the un ferret last years tank feast but helped in getting there sarcen moving, was in the top of the crusader and matida and was given the chance to drive the matida look forward to meeting you at a workshop weekend.   2. Yes it is used to hide the shape when I was in 25+ years ago we used hesian sacks on our vehicles painted black or green it was also used to cover windows.lights ect normaly rolled up, not sure about IR but we used the same paint as the vehicles we painted alot in the 70/80s in Germany!

  9. Just had a look at the tender sale at withams, the 432 that is listed looks like a bulldog, the front access hatch has been modifed and the added amour looks like it maybe, It maybe one of the develoment ones, am I right? Big Al

  13. Yes it was great its not very offten you can drive around a city on a saturday with the roads shut for us to drive along! This is the third year we have been involed this year John Pearson had the valentine,saracen and FV438 running as well has a lot of birmingham MVT members with there pride and joy. Poptopshed has posted more photos on westpark thread on this forum. Big Al
  14. It was an interesting weekend, I drove John Pearsons saracen around the town with poptopshed in the command seat. It was ok till we had a fuel problem which was quickly sorted. We had some fun with loading the valentine with me in the driving seat for the return trip but things worked out ok. Big Al

Thanks to grumpy, simon and poptopshed for transporting John Pearsons valentine and FV438 to woverhampton steam show and back as you can see we had to recover grumpy's Militant before we could load the valentine! We all left in an convoy John in the 438, Myself and John son in the saracen, simon in a landy and grumby loaded with the valentine it was an impresive site driving around the centure of woverhampton on a friday night! and grumpy did not get stuck! He is now going to read up on off road driving with the militant. Thanks for the help and we will do it again, it was a great weekend.
  16. Im planing to be there for the week helping out in the workshops to get things ready. John Pearson from this forum and his son colin will be also there during the week. There will be alot of freinds of the tank museum working in the workshops helping to get things running ok.I hope its alot dryer this year! Big Al

  19. Yes its was a good demo of what the militants can do, the tank was a cent and its now in the midlands. Well done to graham and his pals on moving it in the dark. Big Al
  20. I did it was good it was intresting that it was based on a real story,the court marshal punished them for being AWOL ! 28 days in the guard room and the Sargent demoted. Al
