  1. It's called a cherry picker. Taxi for CanScot? Pass my coat.
  2. don't mess with her black box, why is she an "aeroplane blonde"?
  3. I told you they'd like it Nigel and I know what a labour of love it has been for you. It would be good if you could post some of the restoration photos.
  4. Hello Nigel, good to see you here at last. Get them photos up!
  5. I've been in Malta again, only been back 2 weeks and they want me to go again, it's a hard life you know! Had a few probs with the Dodge overheating but it's now cured, so will be at Beltring from this Sunday in the IMPS Weald area with occasional trips to the beer tent. At Detling you'll mainly find me slaving over a hot stove in the WW1 encampment.
  6. Shall be there for the duration, oh yes and the beer!!!
  7. I bet they love you at the airport!
  8. "It's a mans life in the Womens Auxilliary Balloon Corps and no mistake" Join now!
  9. I know I've got to be out there on the 20th of this month!
  10. Got to be Malta in my humble opinion. There's more history than you can shake a stick at and you won't find nicer people. Look out for the red MW tanker that is still in everyday commercial use.
  11. Re the £5 minimum donation to be a major part of the ground display at BH Air Fair. Which incidently, costs Joe Public £45 per car to attend. If it's going to HEMS why does it say on their PDF "make cheques payable to Air Displays International"?? Who me? A somewhat cynical Biggin Hill resident for over 20 years!
  12. Stopped doing Biggin Hill last year when a £5 "donation" was requested to attend. The Air Fair advertise the MVs and classic cars as an attraction. I wonder just how many of the aircraft pay to display?
  13. Always with the negative waves Moriarty.
  14. Are they the chart of the coloured fortified liquids of which I shall be liberally partaking of during this festive season, as the housemaid has been volunteered to pilot the staff car this year    :died:
  15. 05.00 :-( new XBox now plumbed in to his new HD tv and he'll be sorting out all the worlds trouble spots for the rest of the day on COD 4 for the rest of the day in his bedroom. The housemaid liked her smellies and has gone back to bed :-D Now where did I put that bottle of vintage port, ah yes here it is, glug, glug, glug.
  16. Lest We Forget. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
  17. Here goes. It appears to be an advertising banner for Courtaulds Aerospace fixed to a couple of ladders, if I'm not mistaken :-D
  18. Tony, there are several BT exchanges around the country with areas known as collosus. IIRC the originals were dispersed to various GPO sites for security. I think it would be reasonable therefore to assume that these were the sites.
  19. There was an article with photos in yesterdays Daily Mail, I seem to recall it reported that Collosus had already cracked 2 of the messages and was working on the third..... They were still waiting for the moderns to check back in  Unfortunately my housemaid has already despatched the paper to the bin.
  20. I have the large lorry poppies and will be at Waitrose Biggin Hill Friday PM & all day Saturday. I keep stock of all things Poppy throughout the year, if you need anything PM me.
  21. Impressive stats for a small clique of traders
  22. They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. We Will Remember Them.
