  1. Clive, I do not have a spare one, but to help you, the Lucas part number for the rotor arm is 410279. regards, Richard
  2. My mistake, should have said BSPP, meaning Parallel. That is how my taps and dies are marked.
  3. Hi Steve, The thread is 1/2" BSPF, which is British Standard Pipe - Fine. Same part number as the filler/level plugs in hub cap.
  4. Danny, I wonder if you have a leaky rocker cover or pushrod cover gasket on the engine and that oil has been driven back over the gearbox. Something else to note is the tyre pump, it is lubricated from the gearbox and to ensure it does not fill the crankcase on the compressor, there is a small drain hole under it, as well as the gauze breather on the end. This is a common source of leaks from under the PTO and tyre pump. Also, ensure the gearbox is not overfilled, someone may have topped it up by taking the gear lever out and not checking the level plug on the side. regards, Richard
  5. Hi Tyler, 10x10, I hope that is metres and not feet. It will be difficult to park a 20 foot wagon on a postage stamp :undecided:
  6. hi Matt, Good to see the job is coming on well. I see you are keeping Neil busy at weekends ..... I do get progress reports from him as well best regards, Richard
  7. Howard, I take it that either the distributor or the oil pump has been changed otherwise how would the engine have worked before?
  8. I recollect being recommended to try them some years ago when looking for a particular type of military pattern tyres.
  9. No, I will pay the £10 and make use of the excellent facilities at W&PR, bit more privacy than a bit of hessian thanks.
  10. Just the right kit if you were to depict a Mobile Latrine Unit in Living History at W&PR
  11. Hi David, This is gleaned from a QL parts book dated after production ceased, and gives cut-in's for part changes, by chassis number. Using info from Bart Vanderveen I can deduce the following; B/WD/H1 Chassis no. 4795 (built 1941) to 44966 (early 1945) B/WD/H1/DP Chassis no. 44967 (early 1945) to 52122 (1945) B/WD/H1/0 Chassis no. 52123 (1945) > The last chassis built was 53247, in 1945. cheers Richard
  12. Tony, You will thank me as I have saved you from all those rivet counters who would have spotted the orange colour showing through as the paint flakes off!
  13. Hi Tony, I doubt paint will stay on that belt, I much prefer the original black Brammer belt. Looks like it is still available, see here, http://www.fdoconnor.com.au/en_brammer-belting,223.html unfortunately, the supplier is not in UK. regards, Richard
  14. Hi Rob, The Fergie TE20's would have been demobbed by then. I was only looking at one the other day, in fact also saw an early FE35 which still has army green on it and the ID plate on the side of the transmission.
  15. They were painted Deep Bronze Green when in service, at least all those I have come across.
  16. Hi Drew, I know of another TED20, ex-army, 11BY19, but built earlier, in 1951. They were used around camps, bases, workshops etc. for mundane tasks such as mowing and ground maintenance, also towing industrial trailers around. The REME workshops that I worked at had a Massey Fergie 35 Industrial and all it did was tow the scrap metal trailer from the workshop to the dump every day. It did have another role, but rarely used for it, a Klaxon and siren were fitted to it and in the event of a general alert the tractor had to be driven around with sirens blaring. regards, Richard
  17. Maybe alright for someone running a TVO tractor?
  18. That person only joined today, there is a profile, but no posts so far
  19. Had one of these when I was a kid, a Leyland 19/H.
  20. I seem to recollect the Army Mini's were black, no markings, but did have army rego plates.
