  1. Why stick to WW2? As some of us have old and new? IMPS have aregister for film TV use etc. Why not the same here? (Any money always grateful, Dodge, Land Rover 101 and others to feed)
  2. The budget for the next 'Back to the future' was drastically cut. Either that or turn upside down for boat mode.
  3. Global warming is somewhat like obesity, 1/3 of the world spending millions on losing weight, while the other 2/3 starve. As I heard a scientist mention recently.'If you want to get funding for anything, you have to say its to prevent global warming'. Advice for a long life : Don't eat anything, don't drink anything and above all don't breathe the air.
  4. Not a certain aquantince of ours with a plastic M16?
  5. Now send the local fuzz a bill for laying on the training exercise.
  6. Rumour has it that the Royal Corps of Signals museum will be moving from Blanford to Catterick very soon. Would be worth contacting Blanford now, they may have some history. All the vehicle records are now at Deepcut RLC musuem. What they do have at Blanford is a K9 set up with the basha on the side.
  7. Good man for supporting Greyhound Rescue.
  8. Oil levels, if it ain't leacking they are to low. Keep a close eye on out riggers and just in front of rear springs, notorious rot sites. Fill bulkhead uprights with waxoil or similar.
  9. Living round here, that figures. :dunno:
  10. to quote a reply to Rex from a group secretary some years ago. 'If we don't bring our vehicles all you have is an empty Field'. He along with other show organisers neeeds to remember that . They need us.
  11. Spoil th epicture of a good WF. :schocked:
  12. I always thou gt this was Just Extra Expensive Parts. Where as Dodge is Delightful Old Darling Goes Everywhere. Any one know what this refers to Tired Virgins Make Dull Company ? :-D
  13. I think itdepends on where the steering wheel is. The plates seem to be on the outside rear.
  14. Mike it is late '70s British Military design, who said it had to make sense? Surley there has to be a way to re twist the torsion bar whilst it is in place? Even the French have a system for doing this.
  15. On a serious note Mike. My experience with torsion bars is they go or they dont. The diffrences are quite minor. How are the bars supported as they enter the hull? Could you have a worn bushing ? I did hear talk of similar problems caused by the floor plate buckling under heavy use.
  16. Jeep, as I own Dodge I'll just wash my mouth out, are similar to Land Rovers, the CJ4 and CJ7 vehicles were used in military form, but the diffrences are small. Proably your best bet is either the Netherlands or Israel. The Dutch used a lot of the 'militarised' Jeeps and I've seen them for sale over there at damn good prices.
  17. They have now been upgraded with guided projectiles. This at least stops the removal of an entire grid square everytime a pod is unloded. I think it will be a while before we see them at Withams though.
  18. go on a diet mate? Or change the heavy weight to the other side? Stick with wheels at least you can shove a bit of wood in the springs. :-D
  19. you're not looking at from our point of view. Mind you you are always welcome when it rains. :-D
  20. Listen I'm still trying to get over the caption competion Stolly!!!!! Give me a breack
  21. Yep but you get 1 Sensible questions 2 Sensible answers. 3 Good beer (but it is Belgium) 4 sensible prices on militaria.
  22. I didn't know I had such a good imagination. I'm going for a lie down . Must check those mushrooms I bought.
