  1. What's REALLY bugging me, is this time you've chosen something that is so obvious to us all. Just trying to nail it down! Right!! Is it a log? A device which is attached to the rope of haltered horse so that the rope can slide through a ring on a manger or stall?
  2. Is it the counter balance chained on the base of a fortress gun?
  3. Being a Dackota!! Might it be the ones in which the Polish men were killed? We had a long disscusion on this in the history forum. Canadian pilot.
  4. Get in there Jack! an oppertunity for you to practice your spraying skills! :-D
  5. Welcome 602. Somewhere is a post claiming at least one member is sane. If it isn't you can you suggest who it might be? :-D Which shorty have you got?
  6. Wonder if it rocks under certain conditions? :cool2:
  7. I would say a modern trailer over 750kg would be excluded. If the trailer was 'part' of the vehicle ie an artic unit with UNLADEN trailer of same period you'd be OK.
  8. Not a tracer musket ball is it?
  9. welcome Malcolm. You'll find a large pig population here.
  10. blimey! what's he on? :n00b:At least we know where the ARSEEFART ended up! All that's missing is oversized beach balls. Is he kneeling down because he's to tired to straighten up?
  11. Don't think there is an actual figure quoted. I've never found it in the Bedford or Morris manual. Tighten gently till it stops leacking?
  12. Have you led a somwhat sheltered life then? :-D:cool2:
  13. The Shorland Vigilant similar to these.
  14. Mess dinner instructiions? 'How to eat a pomegranite without pebble dashing the ladys next to you?
  15. My son (at nearly 21) has spent the afternoon bemoaning how 'The kids nowadays have no sense of responsoblity'. :-D
  16. Oh Gawd! It does sound like a nightmare. The infra red switch is best left 'Show only' .The honest answer is with so much 'helpful improvement'. :shake: it's almost impossible to diagnose at a distance. Get hold of a multi meter and wiring diagram and trace it all through is about the only answer. Fortunatley most military Landys are wired very similar if not identical. So on the back of the hazard warning switch +30- power supply from fuse +15 -to relay r-front right indicator l- front left indicator 31=- blank 49r- to centre wire of turn switch and flasher unit 30b-to 30b on flasher unit+49 -to +49 on flasher unit. Hope this may be of some help.
  17. Sounds very like loose wire or switch wearing. Easily neglected.
  18. spent a super day working on the 101 with my son. I haven't seen him for close on five years! What a H**l of way to sepnd Easter Sunday! :-D
  19. The hazard flashers are on a diffrent circuit to the indicator switch. The idea is that they should work regardless of what the rest of the electircs are doing. First look for a fuse. The military main light switch assuming it is a rotary type, does have a silent mode where nothing works, so make sure that is set right.. If none of that works, get back to us :-D
  20. Hi Benoit, you'll have a fair amount of company near you. welcome to the forum.
  21. Going mad because I've lost the worshop supplement. Does any one know how the stretcher lifting gear in the 101 works? The drive chain has brocken on one side and I can't for the life of me see how or where it reconnects to the leting arm at the bottom.
  22. There's a lot of Ashfords about. The one in Derbyshire is about three mile from Bakewell. All this from a tart? :-D It's having the sulks about not being able to get to Crich triggered it.
  23. The old film 'Flight of the Phonix'. when the model aircraft designer first suggests building the aircrfat from bits, the rest poo Hoo him. His answer is ' A model aircraft needs to be designed more carfully than a real one. It must fly on its own. There is no pilot sitting in it to so it has to more stable'. Very true I think.
