    Snow..

Daft as it might sound. The apprecation and thanks I've got from passengers over the last few days. It has actually made going to work a pleasure! So my thanks to them. So saying the snow has stayed off, up to now!
  2. H&S ? That Mon V is why we have the Sherman as a gate gaurd! :cool2:
  3. So nice to see somone preserving such classic buildings. There are quite a few up at Dartford, behind the Joyce Green hospital. It was originally a RNAS staion. Now either deriliect hidden in undergrowth or flattned for flats. Vandilism!!
  4. Oh you Irish do have some super kit squirreled away!
  5. Action in case of fire: Go a long way away and dial 999. The best advice I was given by an MOD fire man. 'Use the estingusher to breack the door or window, then clear out!'
  6. I'm just intrested as to what further concerns Jack Has? Surley he knows us well enough by now? What can we possibly do to suprise him?
  7. There has been a lot of discusion in London since the last throw of the unlamented Ken Livingstone was the Low Emission Zone. The filters required are phonomenally expensive and seem to have very limited endurance.

Hi mate, You will get used to the weird humour. The windows on the HMVF clubhouse look out on all parts of the world. Right now the UK ones are totally frosted over, outside is about - 5 degres and various depths of snow. Definitley not motorbike weather at our end! Beautiful bikes though they are! :-D
  9. yes, I like the idea of the Sherman as a gate gaurd. Provided of course the weapons are fully functional, that will keep the various Oiks at bay nicley! As for gritting the car park, why do you lot always want to take the fun out of things? Oh by the way Black Tie does not mean a pice of scrim soaked in old engine oil!
  10. Pull up a crate and pass round the custard creams.
  11. So does this mean the HMVf wil be introducing Marahall dancing? Morris dancing for men!!

    Forum upgrade

Joris, you are dealing with people that spend their time, mucking about with things that most consider junk. We dosen't like change! Still it seems easy enough to use so I suppose we will get used to it.

  14. Having sorted out the knew phycodelic forum, I think. I've just found my next project http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,213971.0/topicseen.html
  15. The only good bit aabout that is there are bog standard UK plumbers blanks and adapters that will fit the top of a Dodge master cylinder, so remote resovoirs , breathers etc are not a problem.
  16. As for experience problems with air systems freezing, yep, me and a least a couple of dozen others today. The rule is or was, at the end of the day in freezing weather drain the air tank. As for when the last time the systems on our busses were done, The Devil knows, and Heaven suspects.
  17. The usual mine of information. Thanks guys, another job to do! :iloveyou:
  18. There was at least one in private ownership, huge great thing.

    Snow..

Be careful what you wish for. :shake: 5 am this morning down it came! About 6 am, your much loved Muppet was piloting 6,666 kg of Dennis through Chelsfeild Station. For those of you in the hinterland, one reasonable long but shallow hill goes in then up a long steep one. I came in the short shallow one, my oppo came over the top of the long steep one. Both your heroes touched the brakes, then just went along for the ride! Both of stopped in the middle, thankfully with out contact. Then called the garage, saying, with much restraint, 'We ain't coming down here again till its gritted!
