Still waiting for the snow! I use 50/50 as a standard, helps the cooling through the hot weather.
  2. May well be a Godiva under another name. Though Angus are still going. Check their website. The Narrow road steep gradients and acute bend description sounds interesting. Bet the one who wrote it never drove a top heavy Land Rover under those conditions.http://www.angusfire.co.uk/utcfs/ws-404/Assets/6337-2B%20LW500%20Mk%202B%20Pump.pdf
  3. If they were all that easy! Good point though Rad caps and distributor caps seem to be taken for granted. :-D

Done and dusted already. I do mine every two years regardless, in September! :-D
  5. Those were the days 'Without Reserve' The only time you see that now is bankruptcy or Baillif sales. Give an idea of prices though, Ron who owns our yard tells me he bought a three ton Dodge from auction for £300, worked it into the floor , no hours then, if you could get the fuel to haul a load you were in the money (Knowing Ron as he is now, wouldn't even want to ask about how he got fuel). He eventually sold it for £400 and bought his first house.
  6. Another good reason for putting it on a trailer. Stops the burke following you damaging the muzzle brake with thier windscreen. I've towed one with limber with a 109 no problems apart from above, and muppets coming out of side turnings and roundabouts.
  7. If you can get Forte stuff. You can get it through Amazon. Not cheap but they do a full range from flushers to stop leack, and it is good stuff.
  8. BL**Dy cold but great fun!! I have a Belgium Tank suit for cold weather. I stuck to playing round the farm tracks. To many idiots out on the road. Just remember where the big holes are! :-D One guy managed to lose the front wheels of his Land Rover, in a ditch.. Just wide enough and deep enough to firmly clamp the tyres! That was an intrestng hour getting it out! I had the 101 at that time as well. Got a 100cc Yahama off road bike this time though! :-D
  9. I'll cross my fingers for you. You do the same for me?
  10. Check the oil cooler system as well. Oil cools the engine as well. Very obvious, what state is the fan belt in? Also knowing 101 electrics, try the sender and gauge. Most engine tempratures will rise after the engine has been run hard and then idles.
  11. On the other hand. At the moment, they might need them! :-D
  12. If you can't hit with a hammer or turn it with a spanner. I'm doing a subtle exppperiment. Supposedly as Long as the first and last letters are correct you should be able to understand what is written. That and I've just finished a long week.
  13. A lot of Military Vehicle technicaL terms seem to satrt with B. Bol.., Bas... Ba...ed up! Brocken, you get the idea?:-D
  14. Up North? well look out the window! I rest the case Me L'ud :-D
  15. So the 'Front page' was rampaging through the internet? Couldn't direct it towards the VOSA and DVLA sites could you? :cool2:
  16. The Essex and Kings Own were on the First day of the Somme together. The Kings own also served in Jersey just pre war. Try these links. http://www.actofwar.co.uk/essex/ Craig and the boys will have a lot of info for you. http://www.fylde.demon.co.uk/fraser.htm
  17. £125 is about three miles at heavy commercial recovery rate! So excelent value! Touch the winch on a recovery truck for a bus +£250
  18. How does it go: Light with Loooong taper! :-D
