  1. Forget to ask, where abouts in God's second favourite place are you?
  2. I'll bet alllll the way down to Brighton councils are scratching their heads, 'Nah must be something wrong with the speed cameras, an old crock like that could never have set them off'!
  3. A similar idea used years ago for 'Tempoary' farm buildings was to erect shuttering of weld mesh and plywood, stack straw bales between then pump concrete slurry over them.
  4. The QL has a similar system. How me and Phil got round it was to buy a cheap pull to operate micro switch. This was fitted under the chassis and a metal rod fited from the switch down to the operating rod of the brake. When the operating rod goes forward the switch is pulled on. Not original, but no ones sees it and it works.
  5. Brilliant invention! Actually the Roaman's had concrete that would set under water. I hope the guys make a fortune out of it, the uses must be inumarable, think of all the flooding latley, a damn sight more effective than sandbags and permenat!
  6. Welcome Bill, we need a bit of mature wisdom round here. ,
  7. To quick! I'd suggest he compares the pulling power of a Jeep and a Dodge, as a tow rope! Lets see how high his voice can really go! :cool2:
  8. The drop down door is acess to the generator. It is identical to the WS10 trailer trailer ramp. The gennys can slide out acros sit for acess.
  9. I know a man who has!:cool2: Not this country, but if your looking to seel he may be interested.
  10. :-D Dave deciding he wants a train set then?
  11. Yeah! We can all tell stories of coming home from MOT tests. I took a firms Sherpa van, passed MOT drove about three miles back turned into yard, brake pipe poped. The best one I've seen was an Alfa, the owner had advertised it in Clasic Car magazine for about £8000. The car came up to the slope that led to the MOT bay. As it turned there was a horrendous squealimg and clanging. I'd just taken my vehicle out and was taliking to the inspector. We both looked down as the car tried again, and the whole back axle was moving about. When the boot was lifted the suspension turret on one side had completly sheared all the way round.
  12. Everyone is missing the obvious. Despite all that, she would still start!:-D
  13. Thanks for all replies guys. Richard I couldn't find the calipers when measuring, have now! So the lining was measured with a tape measure. Goran, thanks. you are right , and I'm looking for an excuse to go European for a couple of days.
  14. Yeah 4.8 mm seems a standard thickness. I have to get a set done hoping this place can do them. http://www.efbreen.co.uk/Frictionworkshop.html I need a set for Katy, then hers will go in for relining and fitting to mine. I could also do with tracking down a couple of Norweigiam Cloverleafs if you hear of any.
  15. Just measured a one that looks unused. Thickness is 4 mm. Does that sound about right?
  16. Bedford QL. Trouble is, American vehicles are much nicer to drive, and easier to maintain at that era.
  17. Compared to the solar cell chargers available even three or four years ago the costs have dropped and performance improved beyond recognition. They do make a lot of sense, especially with the cost of batterys going up.
  18. Hunting about for a DC-DC convertor. I found this site. Has all sorts of things on it that could be useful. http://www.adverc.co.uk/
  19. Hope you have a large folder or memory on your computer! No doubt the advice will come flooding in.
  20. Eh wasn't it...Where are the *** keys?:-D
