    Peoper undercoat and hard gloss finish for preservation, then slap on matt for that 'In service ' Look! :-D My WC54 have several repairs to the bodywork of the cut sheet and scre in type, but as they were probably done around 1952 at her rebuild, they stay! There part of the history.

    As far as hobnails go. There was an order Drivers could get rubber soles. I just use stick on soles.

    I do like your sense of humour! Why have all these toys if you don't play with them? :-D The Perentie has an Isuzu Diseil turbo. Years ago some were over for trials at the Chobham MVEE. I was working for MOD at the time and thinking of buying a Range Rover with the same engine fitted. I phoned Chobham and asked what problems there were with the engine. The reply was 'Don't overfill it with oil'. I did buy the Range Rover and it diid over 500,000 miles that I know of over about 15 years before the engine gave up.

    Bear in mind, the Registered Keeper is not nessacarily the legal owner of the owner. ie if a vehicle is on finance. Having practical experience of this sort of situation. A formally written note to another person, with the proviso to buy back at any time, in my case for 50 pence. Signed by both parties, three copies, one to each one stored by helpful solicitor.

    One particular idiot pulled across a roundabout chatting on his mobile phone, and narrowly missed getting 7 ton of bus through the drivers window. He and the rest of creatures in the car sat laughing and giving me the finger. Don't know why I bothered to brake!
