  1. Wasn't there a Corgi or Dinky model of this combination? The picture looks very similar.
  2. So my 'Plain Brown Envelope' is in the post is it? :cool2:
  3. It is the easy answer, let the other Tony work his magic. Good job fair prices. :-D
  4. I had this sort of stupid problem on my Dodge. It went, was switched off and refused to start! First time in 10 plus years! The answer was easy , dirty earth! I'd take the earth lead off and clean thouroughly, even if it seems tight and clean. Mine was, I checked it beacuse I could'nt think of anything else . A set of new battrey connectors might help. Starter motor connectors are another problem, same rules apply, they can look OK, I had this on my old Range Rover, clean and add a couple of anti shake washers.
  5. Welcome in Chris. A Ferret in a Canadian winter? Brave man! :-D
  6. I was thinking that. BUT DO disconnect the regulator before polarising. http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/polarising-a-dynamo.php
  7. So the Good word is spreading!! With a Dodge, drive up any wall you choose and park.
  8. Update , book early!! :cool2: Update on Military Mania 2 - 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey, May 2015 ** Show Ground booked from 4th - 11th May ** Show open to public Friday 8th and Sunday 10th May ** All participants in show will be involved in the celebrations in St Helier (our Capital) on Saturday 9th May - actual Liberation Day ** During the week leading up the 8th, various convoys and visits to Island fortifications will be organised but also allowing you the opportunity to explore the Island as you wish. This event will be free entry to members of the public and all donations will be split between 2 charities, the British Red Cross and Holidays For Heroes. Since your initial interest, several meetings, etc have taken place. We have met with the Ferry company who is enthusiastic to support the event in the way of a discount for those travelling from the UK and France. We are waiting a formal response on how much of a discount can be offered. This week we have had discussions with Jersey Tourism Marketing section and this will lead to a tour operator being appointed who will co-ordinate all bookings for travel/accommodation for participants. Looking ahead - the options for accommodation will be hotels (with parking facilities), campsite for tents or camper vans, or for those living history groups wishing to stay on site from the 4th-11th May to use their own display area. Like Normandy this year, our celebrations in 2015 will, more than likely, be the last 'big' event where people who lived through the Occupation will still be with us to celebrate. The chances are there will not be another Jersey event of this size - so don't miss it !!!! Will keep you posted. Cheers Ricky and Therese Le Quesne =
  9. We apoligise for this comment, The Dodge owning fraternity! :cool2:
  10. Depends what you want. To charge about fine, though notice the replicas being built to commerate the Great War, as long as no one trys to pass it off as genuine. That is annoying at shows and illegal if trying to sell.
  11. I ride mine! Very useful around show grounds! :-D
  12. Make it So! :cool2: Just to give you an idea. When the CWWG came to exhume the casualties From the hamlet of Chouain, to take them to Bayeux, the locals kicked off. They claimed these men has come to free the village, they had fought and died for the villiage, and had been buried by the villiage. The Villiage was responsible for and to these men, not strangers. http://www.normandie44lamemoire.com/versionanglaise/fichesvillesus/tillyus2.html
  13. You bring the biccies! :-D P.S. Whilst your both out that way. Visit the villiage of Tilly Sur Seulles. The CWWG cemetry is at the entrance to a place called Jerusalem Farm. They make the World's best Calvados! But only sell it from the farm. Like drinking liquid sunshine! :nut:
  14. Spoke to Phil On the master cylinder are three bolts holding the push rod. If you take those bolts out you will find inside an adjuster for the push rod length. It 'Aint on the diagrams!!! Adjust that and you should get the correct spacing for the piston. Bl**dy head banging before he found it.
  15. Welcome. Landys are never scrapped! They just supply parts to next one. :-D
  16. Welcome !! Feel free to drop in on Goldbeach at Ver Sur Mer. The Kettle will be on! :-D
  17. Prices are frightening. I paid £250 for mine! :wow:
  18. May be the piston wrongly positioned. Me being stupid , but as you have the cylinder out, try pushing some fluid from the outlet up into the master. That will tell you if the hole is uncovered. Phil Webb is the one who knows the system, I'll contact him later for advice. I know the QL was a complete A** to bleed, though we couldn't get it to the back. Though if the fluid is squirting out of the master at both ports then pre filling the lines might work.
  19. This is the one. http://www.ombudsman.org.uk/ however you have to go through the DVLA complaint procedure first. The good thing is if DVLA exceed the set time limits to reply that is part of the complaint. I used this service concerning another Goverment Organisation. They were very efficent.
