  1. Any pics of the fire truck??A mate in work saw it driving through the Purley way, with what he said were two army trucks behind??
  2. You can have this on the stand.Providing we can take it off to do the arena displays and the odd trip down to the supermarket early evening. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9892.jpg[/img]
  3. What are the differences between the two turrets?.You get quite a good shot of the side of one of the 432,s as the mustang takes a corner. The camera pans away from the car to linger on the side of the 432.
  4. I went and see this last night. The film is based around the Will Smith character Lt Col Robert Neville.Being the last man alive in New York. Its a bit like 28 days later and the Omega man with Charlton Heston. In the opening sequences the Smith character is driving a 500 GT Mustang when he approches a deserted military check point. In amongst the normal fair of Reo,s and Hummers are two or three 432,s with the Scimitar turret.I thought that there was only about eleven of these made?.So i thought it was a bit unusual to see three in a film?.
  5. Sorry didnt read all the add.Just looked at the pic and posted.Regarding engines.Wouldnt it be feasible to buy one from a jag breakers and use the internals.I would imagine that the cam,and oil pump would be different. But the rest would be the same wouldnt it?
  6. I was watching a program on news 24 this morning devoted to the Aden crisis. And this actual Saladin was shown in film clip from the time.I made a note of the reg.It was shown in what was described as a crackdown on the insurgency in crater. There was also a story on Mad Mitch shown as well.
  7. Looks like a Spartan.Jaguar engines are plentiful.
  8. That looks a nice tidy truck. And not a bad price.C+C had one for sale ealier in the year for £5500+V.A.T
  9. How much did you give for the Leyland??Any pics?
  10. I heard one of you saying that it was worse than being in a convoy with your granny :-D b.t.w. I'm in the last pic walking away from the line up of champs in blue jeans, desert boots and green jacket.

  13. Where abouts are you coming from?.You and your brother are near enough at every show i attend. How many do you do a year?
  14. Blunderbus antiques in Thayer st W1.Good collection, but can be expensive. Also Target arms Lordship lane East Dulwich.S.E London.Has a wide range of collectables, and has a website.
  15. I got my passes through yesterday.Looks like i will be taking the 101,as the other half does,nt want to be a Ferret commander.
  16. There is a scene in Yanks, where the convoy of vehicles is making its way through the dales and in the distance can be seen a modern day artic(of the time)making its way along the road.
  17. Disregarding this one.But there was one for sale in Classic and Sports car magazine earlier in the year.It was technically incorrect and when i phoned up about it just to enquire,it had been sold. For £16,500.I know that if ever i was to put mine on the market i would want a lot more for it than £17,000.
  18. Yep i will be there,as its only down the road from me.
  19. Same here.they are in the process of moving at the moment to new premises. Here is another one of the Dews creations http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9585.jpg[/img]
  20. Here,s another pic to tempt you even more. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9585.jpg[/img]
  21. Here,s mine at Beltring.Go on get one.You know it makes sense.Sort of............ http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9892.jpg[/img]
  22. Ivehad a LTWT.my one saw service in NI. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/landrover.jpg[/img] I now own a 101,they ive had for the last 10 years.http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/DSC00220.jpg[/img]
  23. I would keep the LtWt as they are very rare state side.Im not to sure if Kahki imports have one in stock as well as 101 at the moment. They are based in Tulsa.Regarding the kit front.I think you are best of saving your dollars and then making a trip over to the war and peace show next year and buying the bulk of your kit there.British kit is peanuts to buy compared with WW11 U.S kit and there is bundles of it at war and peace.Plus there is the added bonus that you will meet a few off here to give advice, and also the Forces 80 re-inactment group that you can ask for advice. Then you have five days of all things military.
