  1. Your making this sound very inviting.Might have to bring the 101 or jeep now if i can come down,as the Ferret is having the engine out.And i dont think i will have it back in time.
  2. Very, very nice collection. Is the 30cal browning the genuine thing?if so then thats a very, very rare pice of kit. Here are a couple of my brothers collection at Bisley last year First one is the AI L96 snipers rifle as used by the Army. But this one has a heavier Remmington barrel.Brlliant rifle.Every round you put down range hits its target. And that was on the 1200mtr range. The second is a customized version of the M4 Carbine on the 600 mtr range.
  3. I still cant believe all the thefts are still going on.I remember some years back, when it was Whitbreads show.Steve Wright had one of the gimpys stolen off the Pink Panther. It was recovered a couple of years later by the police off of a pikey living in woodland nearby.Thats what i love about Duxford. It has proper all night security patrols.
  4. Mind you this colour might go well on a MV.Lol http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/26-03-07_0904.jpg[/img]
  5. For me its camo all the time.As has been said.Unless you have perfect body panels then DBG would be wasted. Here,s my 101.
  6. Now i know its not technically a British vehicle but the latest ones are built by Automotive Technique in Guilford. But here goes.I had the 101 parked outside the house during the week, unloading some of the stuff from Beltring, when i was approached by the neighbours friend, who after looking at the 101 said he had a very similar vehicle laying in his yard.I said i would be intrested to know what it was.So off he trundles and an hour later returns with the info, that it is infact a Pinzgauer 6x6 1973 2.5ltr petrol.Im hoping to go and have a look at it some time this week.Does anyone know what spares are like for the early ones?As i doubt apart from general body configuration nothing will be compatiable with the later versions.Any help will be most appreciated.
  7. Lee it is you we have to thank for on the purchase of our Ferret. You let me and my brother climb all over yours at Powder Mills a couple years back and gave some good advice on who to see at the St Clere,s golf club show.We ended up with a John Dews rebuild as can be seen in the pic above.
  8. Lucky git.Im in two mind weva to attend the Redhill show as im booked in to do the Royal Chelsea Hosp, which is only 2 miles from where the Ferret is kept. But it seems there is a lot more going on at Redhill. Can only do the Saturday though.
  9. Welcome to the club. Here is a pic of our baby, which was also in attendance at the War and Peace show around the arena. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9586.jpg[/img]
  10. Do you intend on using it on the road Mark?.Have you got a H on your license?
  11. I took part in every areana event with the 101 including the Falklands event. Not one pic on the site. There was even a great pic moment of me in the 101 and the Para guys in the lightweight nearly coming to grief.still no pic.Did get four shots of the Ferret on the site.I suppose thats something for 19 years of service to the show.
  12. Well done mate on the purchase.Me and my brother came close to buying one at the Tring. We had just been given permission for storage and 15 acres to play in.We are in the process at looking at another one.
  13. Im not in the picture, coz i didnt even know it was being held. But i was in the living history field with our U.S Ranger display and 101 and Ferret on show.
  14. Its still at Norman Park. And it is still a huge event, weather permitting. It could do with a few more MV,s though. There was an absence of some of the regular IMPS members. But this was probably down to the fact that it clashed with the Mustards farm event.I will always attend the Pageant as its local to me,and its kind on the Ferret.
  15. Me likes a lot. That would be the next step up for me from the Ferret.Me and my brother have Lee to thank for our purchase of our Ferret. He let us climb all over his Mk1 a couple of years back at gunpowder mills. And a wealth of advice he gave as well. Now only if we could have got on board the Fox.We probably would have had one of those as well.lol
  16. Nice post Mark.I think Jerry Thurston has more of a intrest for the green stuff over the classic cars.I was a little gobsmacked along with my wife and brother at the fuel consumption of your wrecker. For those of you who dont know its 1 1/2mls to the gallon!!!.I hope after our spreading of the word yesterday that there are a few more members joining up over the next few days.See you at Beltring.
  17. I couldnt believe.Having only just parked the Ferret up after a long day at the Bromley Pageant.I was making my way home when another Ferret passed me on the same stretch of road i had been on 20 minutes earlier. It was in Nato green and sand.Anyone from here?
  18. Well some of us braved the elements today and attended the Bromley Pageant. It was nice to meet another forum member (Heliops)and the impressive WardLaFrance wrecker he owns. There are still a few out there who are in the dark about this forum. But efforts were made to point them in the right direction.Me and (Heliops) even managed to walk away with an award each. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9817.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9818.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9819.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9820.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9821.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9815.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9816.jpg[/img] http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/BLUETHUNDER_06/100_9809.jpg[/img]
  19. Welcome on board.Im a newbe on here as well, but ive been in the movement for 19 years.Started when i was 17.Im finding this site very addictive.
  20. I can do the 11th at Redhill but not the 12th as im at RAF Wattisham (home of the Apache)with the Cerbera racing in a super car shootout. Will the Mutt be there??
  21. Cant believe it.Some one who is on my door step so to speak.Im in Catford/Bromley.Also potter around in Brixton.£9,500 is a good price considering all the work you have put in to it.I would love to own it,but as you can see from the list of vehicles i all ready have one more would spell the end of my marriage.lol
  22. I will take a few pics the weekend and post. And you can be the judge. They are that good that when i first picked it up i thought it was the real thing.
  23. Did i get that right? Some one in your group drove a Ferret from Croydon to Duxford?
  24. What a very nice restoration.Cant wait to see it on the show scene. Are you based in the south east?
