  1. Thanks for the reply that's a shame as I really enjoyed it when I went,we are in East Runton at the moment but unfortunately the museum is closed as we normally pop in when we are in the area.I hope the museum is OK. Simon
  2. Hi does anybody know if Muckleburgh are holding there open weekend this year as it's normally late May time but I cannot see it advertised anywhere as I am starting to fill my diary for this year and I haven't been for a couple of years, and was hoping to go this year if it was on. thanks simon
  3. The third vehicle down the Matchless is a fraud as it belongs to someone else as was on classic car website the other month, last time it was in France with free delivery as long as you did a bank transfer first, Buyers be very aware. Simon
  4. Thanks for putting the videos on its nice to see armour being driven,as per the last comments I have enough trouble keeping my bikes and dodge all running well,so armour must be a labour of love. The space they have to play in is impressive to. Simon
  5. I to have been trying to see if it was on but couldn't see it,there was a rumour floating about that it might not be on this year, but it was only a rumour nothing firm.
  6. Hi,could anybody recommend a decent insurance company or broker to try as had my renewal through from Footman and James but could do with something to compare it to,I tried a couple last year but most of them took the details and never rang back. Thanks Simon
  7. It's definitely the unrestored one that is up here Simon
  8. I seem to remember a thread with some one asking what had happened to the dozer tank in the bushes, I. think it is now living in the Midlands and has just started along restoration. I am pretty sure it's the same one from the photo. Simon
  9. Welcome to the forum it's nice to have others from Leicestershire on here.any photo's. Simon
  10. I can understand how you feel, the first 3-4 years I had the dodge it ran perfectly but the year before last on the way to war and peace i got stuck in traffic and it boiled over .it needed a new radiator and I also changed the pump and all the hoses. Next time on a long run it had fuel starvation problem's so I routed the fuel lines better.it then started cutting out in traffic so I changed the pump. I thought I would treat it to a NOS dizzy(which arrived from the USA damaged) this seemed to cure all my problems and I was happy driving it again. It then started breaking down while hot after a decent distance this turned out to be the condenser changed that it then after a while started it all over again but it would not breakdown when on the drive eventually I found the new coil had started to leak it's insulation out of the bottom (you can't see this unless you take it out).I have just replaced that so am hoping that solves it and I can drive it again without worrying if I can get there.on the plus side I have met lots of very nice and friendly AA relay truck drivers.I agree with the other comments there are lots of really nice friendly people in this hobby . Simon
  11. Welcome to the forum its nice to have others from Leicestershire on it. Simon
  12. Almost time for one of the best shows of the year, have started packing as hope to be there by lunch time tomorrow and should have new two wheeled toy with me(if all goes to plan). Simon
  13. I know this is a very long shot but does anybody have a battery box or correct bike pump for the above they would consider selling as I have just brought one and that`s the only two bit`s missing, or do you have a photo of the pump so I know what to hunt for. Or a really big ask does anybody have a battery box that I could use as a pattern to get one made as I have a place that would make me one,if you have one(and don`t fancy the above and I would not blame you) could you let me have the dimensions(two are fairly easy as I can measure the holder) and a photo of where the slots are for the wires. Thanks Simon
  14. I normally try to take my bikes into the arena but don`t normally take the Dodge as I cook in the back etc and by the time I have packed up and got it straight in the back ,it seems a lot of trouble for a couple of trips round in a circle and the queuing to get in and out. Not wanting to offend jeep owners I feel the last comments where probably correct as the general public want to see the big lorries and the armour driving around and things like the DROPS doing demonstrations seems to go down well. I helped out the other year with a sabre and we sat for a long while to get into the arena at W@P (old site) and to get out and only managed a couple of loops and the owner decided it was not worth the trouble etc to go again. Simon
  15. Evening I will be going with the Dodge(hope to get there and back under my own power) and hopefully with new toy in the back, will be camping all week end to and should have some 101`s with us Simon
  16. Monday to Friday it`s B when sat in van having lunch(and C) weekends it`s when ever I get a free few minutes and today it`s just after finishing packing for W@P. Simon
  17. Hi,and welcome aboard please post picture`s of bikes especially the TRW as they will be on my shopping list if I sell the few I have, when you start a reply or a new thread there is a box at the bottom that says manage attachments click on this and then follow the instructions. Simon
  18. Evening, normally by now there is a thread running with daily photo`s and an update on how the show is setting up etc,so was wondering if there is anybody on site who would like to do it.We are going down on Saturday for the week but don`t have the technology to do that. Simon
  19. Thanks to everybody for taking the time and trouble of replying to my question. I have passed them onto my dad. Thanks Simon
  20. I was wondering if anybody could tell me the frequency range of the clansman sets, as I was watching the guys transmitting and receiving at Wartime in the vale and my dad has got various radio`s for listening only(as he does not want to transmit)but is struggling to find much to listen to, he can`t get out of the house for various medical reasons and it helps pass the time. Any ideas/hints/tips most appreciated. Thanks Simon Ps he used to listen to CB radio but that seems to of died a death
  21. Hello could anybody recommend a person/firm in the Leicestershire area to get a tear in my rear canvas repaired, also on a different note I am looking for an Oil additive to put in the rear drive of my Moto Guzzi the book recommends Agip Rocol ASO/R or Molycote Type A but am struggling to fine them locally or could you recommend an equivalent. Any suggestions links most appreciated Thanks Simon
  22. I had my Dodge M37 one done locally in Leicester it was £280 but this was with an updated core(which had more cooling) and took about 3 days(had to wait for the new core to arrive). Simon
  23. When I needed Honda UK to confirm the age of a motorcycle they charged me £30 for the privilege, I had to write to them with what I thought the bike was and the engine and frame number . Simon
  24. Thanks for replying to my question, I think I should of been a bit more specific as I was looking for the newer style one`s where you can change the weight on the plate by sliding in and out different numbers as these appear to be what the M37`s were fitted with(or all the one`s I have seen have fitted). Thanks Simon
