  1. Thanks to all who replied just fitted new regulator and now have just under 28 volts going to battery and the gauge is in the green,so hopefully that will solve my problems till something else happens . Simon
  2. Hi as per earlier post does anybody have a voltage regulator for a 1952 Dodge m37 if so please let me know asap. Thanks Simon
  3. Thanks,,the voltage gauge has always been in the red since I have had it and it doesn't destroy bulbs or the battery which is strange,i had thought it should be around 28 volts.i will put a request on for a replacement unit. Thanks Simon
  4. Hi,i am baffled as my Dodge M 37 seems to destroy coils after long trips the first two i put down to being faulty replacement ones( one arrived via the USA but it was Turkish and to short), I thought I had brought a genuine one at last year's war and peace but that has just died.I have just fitted a second hand one and we are back running, checked the voltage going into the battery and it's around 34 volts( it always has been). If this is the problem can you recommend a good auto eletrician close to Leicester who could reset the regulator, its running the standard box.Any help most appreciated as I would like to get home from war and peace( all the way under my own power). Thanks Simon
  5. Hi we went from the first Saturday to yesterday and had a great time meeting old friends and making some new ones,it was very quiet at the start of the week( public wise) and Kitchener's was not as full as I was expecting especially as they had moved the very top area out. As previously mentioned there are a number of regular stalls missing and more tat stalls some of which was a bit dubious test wise. The evening entertainment was also a bit on the thin side until it opened to the public and on one night there were two of us in the jazz bar. Our field seemed to start emptying from Thursday onwards and lots of people left Friday and Saturday with no bother at all.We didn't watch mutch in the arena as previously mentioned if you are not at the front it was hard to see. On a positive note a bit of diversity is a good thing and I think should be encouraged also the off road course was good and entertaining once the public had gone,i enjoyed the time trials which were different but there was no bike run out? The reason the other large building was closed was due to having asbestos in it and could not be opened safely?,the unexpected firework display was allegedly to be cover for someone to try and steal the safe from the grandstand. Thanks Simon
  8. I have been going since the first show and would agree with the comments above, the fire work display is amazing and the pyro that they used for there vehicle display arealso fantastic, definetly going this year. Simon
  9. Hello was hoping some one could help as I have the basic information on my Mt 350 but the Merlin report is not available. It started out at jscs Ashchurch then went to 1aac then aacen then 651 sqn 1 regt aac and then to withams and eventually to me.If you could translate the above I would be most appreciative. Thanks Simon
  10. Hi Paul and Dave I would love to see some photos if you have some as a TRW is on my potential shopping/wish list and I have a WD B40,RAF bikes are pretty thin on the ground as they didn't have that many to start with. Thanks Simon
  11. We are going Staurday to saturday as i agree with the comments above as the only way to see how the show is under the new manangement is to see it for yourselfs, that way you can make your mind up if it`s better or worse or the same and then decide what to do next year etc. Simon
  12. Hi does anybody know if there is going to be a show this year as it was cancelled but then was going to be Easter and now I haven't heard anything and am busily planing the rest of the year. Thanks Simon
  13. I presume the show is still going ahead as normally in the run upto it there's a thread running on here, has anybody had there entries back yet as I posted mine of months ago (with an sae) and not heard anything yet.looking forward to it. Simon
  14. Evening, I was wondering if there's anybody going to the tiger day at the end of the month from the Leicester area and wants to car share and split the fuel costs,as I am planning on going and have an empty car(apart from me ),or if you have a spare seat I would be happy to split the costs with you. Thanks Simon
  15. Hi,the Saturday night 40' s themed evening is being run by Wicksteed park itself and there is an admission charge payable to them.Unfortunately there will be no swimming in the lake this year. Simon
  16. I have been to the museum and its well worth a visit,I thought it was invite only to be in the carousel itself but anybody could watch, though I stand to be corrected ,its on my to do list(not this year though sadly).Any info would be great as we are trying to sort next year's trip out.Simon
  17. Hi there's only 3 on the first motor as I took the feed from that one across to the second motor and it was all done so if the drivers one stopped I could swap it for the passenger one quickly with out having to do any wiring as things never break at a convenient time lol.Simon PS there is normally a seat cushion in the Dodge but it was being reupholstered when I took the picture:)
  18. Morning is the show still going ahead as I have e mailed the contact asking for entry forms but have heard nothing back, what era vehicles are welcome or is it anything. Thanks Simon
  19. I agree with the last comments,i have also brought military vehicles by accident in the past but not sure if the boss believes me  Simon
  20. Hi,yes you have to switch them on one at a time, but this kept the wiring simple and meant I didn't have to alter the motors, I don't have the travel stops fitted as they didn't come with them and personally I think it keeps it neater and the don't sweep more than is needed, if you want a picture let me know and I will take one. Simon
  21. I have early land rover ones on my Dodge haven't got the bit on the outside that's in the picture and I ran a fused live up to them and earthed them through the frame as you can switch them on and off on the motor itself, this seems to work well.I do have a reduction box fited as the Dodge is 24volt and the wipes are 12 volt.It was fairly easy to do especially once you have drilled the holes. Simon
  22. I have had a reply unfortunately there is no online booking this year the website has the entry form on it which can be down loaded and printed etc. Simon
  23. Evening I have been on the website and can find the forms to print off but not the online entry which I have done other years,is it still available and if so could you point me in the right direction. Thanks Simon
