  1. If I delete all my uploaded photos in the Manage Attachments tool, do they also disappear from the posts and threads?
  2. I think I have found out why the picture I had problems with would not upload. Although it was only 330kb, it was physically too big, 36 inches wide!
  3. Being something of a spotter / anorak, I am fortunate that my balcony is less than 100 yards (don't do metres, still working in old money) from one of the approaches to RNAS Yeovilton. The attached pic was taken last Friday.
  4. All seems to be working fine now, Thank you.
  5. I will keep my eyes open for one at any of the shows, if no one else comes up with one before then.
  6. I seem to be having the same problem as others today in that I cannot upload pictures. (Size 324 kb) Regards, Paul.
  7. Just wanted to say how glad I am that I joined this forum. So much knowledge, experience and info here, am learning so much I didn't know, and so much more filling the big picture about the stuff I knew a little about. Thank you.
  8. Hi all, In case you haven't found it already, this may be of interest. http://thesixappealwheelgroup.org/
  9. Hi all, For those interested in a/c wrecks / fire hulks, this link should take you to Predannack. http://www.targeta.co.uk/predannack.htm
  10. Hi, Do you mean a button stick light blue in colour or a brass button stick as issued to us in the RAF (light blue) as opposed to RN (dark blue)? Regards, Paul.
  11. Avril, You've asked for "a copy of the Military publication", any one in particular, Regards, Paul.
  12. Good question, to which I cannot even begin to even guess at the answer. When in the Sea King IPT, the Aircraft Maintenance Manual and the Aircraft Repair Manual, were both Publications with AP numbers. You demanded by the AP number and for assistance gave the title.
  13. Also BW Models do some very nice post war stuff in white metal in 1/76 scale, including kits not seen elsewhere.
  14. If I remember rightly the Bloodhound, Land Rover also came with the first Airfix Hercules kit, complete with RAF Snowdrop and dog!
  15. For those wishing battles online, there is "Steel Panthers - World at War", which might interest some.
  16. Robin, Thank you. I have already received help from yourself and Clive on a matter that had me stumped, on the day I joined. If there is some knowledge I have through experience or through my interests, I am happy to pass that on. When at work, I found that there were some who considered knowledge to be power, well their knowledge will die with them. I consider knowledge to be for sharing, so that everyone can benefit from it and contribute themselves. And not least, if I share something, someone can tell me if it's right or not! Best regards, Paul.
  17. Attached should be a copy of a Def Stan giving some hopefully useful info on spark plugs. 00000200.PDF
  18. Yes, I actually live in a flat which was a married quarter before a lot were sold off. I am surrounded by houses that are still RN married quarters.
  19. Am currently reading "The Longmoor Military Railway", copies are quite rare.
  20. Very nice handywork, it's a skill I wish I had, I can kitbash but not much more than that.
