  6. That ne was made in Russia, this appears to be in Hungary & dated July 2010, the first shots I've seen of the White Tiger replica (which wasn't completed in time for the film, IIRC, some awful bodge-job featured in it) are from Sept 2011.
  7. I assume it'll take more than a new battery, a splash of petrol & a squirt of WD to get it running, but not much more? What I call a "barn find"

  9. Our brains are good at linking bits up to give us something we "recognise". The "Face on Mars" Under different lighting & higher resolution.

  11. http://www.johnsloughoflondon.co.uk/artillery-for-sale-4-5-ww1-howitzer/item I reckon it might fetch rather more than I can afford & t'wife won't want it in the garden anyway!
  12. It only broke surface last month, so hasn't made it on the lists yet. Give the bloke a chance.
  13. From what links I've found, that Comet's the only survivor, seems that once the Cubans were sent Russian kit, the rest were scrapped. Here's another one of the Comet. Found a couple Staghounds there too, University of Havana. Guisa. Another Comet "Facing Florida Straights" M47? I assume it's an ex-Bay of Pigs trophy. Playa Giron. The only other photos of old tanks I can find in Cuba, are T34/85s & Su100s, including these submerged examples. Plus a submerged IS2M So, so surviving Shermans in Cuba?
  14. Feldom, Catterick Training Area
  15. Comet, Cuba. S/N 3642? http://www.nbcnews.com/video/sherman-tank-is-a-lasting-reminder-of-pre-revolutionary-cuba-545749059925
  16. Part 2 says that the Chinese one's at the China North Vehicle Research Institute in Beijing, doesn't sound very museumish to me, so I'd guess it's a present from one of the Middle Eastern countries, missing skirts etc. Maybe ex-Iranian via Iraq? Not sure if it's dirt or sand-coloured paint on the front.
  17. TOG1 was the design with sponsons.
  18. They're not Churchills. They're Matilda II hulls.
  19. Found this on a facebook group, if it really is at Dieppe, it certainly needs recovering.
