  1. Do you have to make up your own padding or is it readily available? Andy
  2. Not that you should be doing more than 20mph anyway! ;-) I'm amazed at how good the ride quality is. Andy
  3. I suspect that MOD's decision to upgrade was more about obsolescence, reliability and fire hazard than anything else. Andy
  4. It doesn't need to fit in the submarine, just load the torpedoes from the dockside. Andy
  5. I was wondering that. They either hold the vertical thing up or push down on something. Andy
  6. Looks like something shown in open and closed positions? Andy
  7. Aha - hence the "demountable bodies" that Withams were selling. Shame they don't keep them together! The NAO report calls the vehicles Supacat Meonics. Andy
  8. Luckily it's a pretty simple thing to check through with a meter. What does the starter do, out of interest? And have you got the DLB1 to DLB2 link cable in place? That's caught me at least once! Andy
  9. Sounds like someone has been fiddling! If you mean the later S152 starter they still have a built-in solenoid so the wiring should be unchanged. What's the problem with the fuel solenoid - someone not converting properly from the older two-wire type to the later three-wire with separate hold-on coil? Andy
  10. Happy Birthday (in a non-embarrassing way!) Andy
  11. Interesting - differences in what respect? I can't remember what MOD state the one is that I've just fitted to the Abbot, but it's got a 2004 test date on it. Andy
  12. Their delivery system seems a bit spasmodic. I haven't had one this time round either. Andy
  13. I'm confused - are you sure you've got the full set of manuals? There's definitely a diagram in the relevant AESP. This is the official MOD redacted version: Andy
  14. Looking good. That's the first time I've seen the results of soda blasting. Andy
  15. It would certainly seem logical to be able to access it from the "New Posts" page once you've finished reading the aforementioned new posts? Andy
  16. Thanks both - I think I'll be going on a UK tour ... :-) Andy
  17. Is it just me, or has the ability to mark all threads as read moved/disappeared? Andy
  18. This is a possibly silly question from a newbie FAC holder. If I need to have components covered by an FAC (or indeed a complete firearm) transported round the country, how do I go about it? Can I just use a normal transport company or does the FAC holder need to be in attendance? Andy
  19. RN issue. I've still got one in the wardrobe. A bit thin, needs a woolly pully underneath. Andy
  20. So do we know where the Beverley one ended up? Andy
  21. Is the one at Sparkford still there? Last time I looked, Haynes had got rid of all their military vehicles. Andy
