  1. Good to hear someone being sensible at last, they were designed as 6 volt so should be fine. Also if started and used regularly they are always better. 70 year olds do get a bit creaky !
  2. Rick, It just goes to show that all those years of playing with LEGO paid off. :cool2: Cheers, Andy
  3. Hi, Cant find any refereb=nce to the part number in DAC parts manual. Andy
  4. Hi Chris, Will you be along to Carrier Fest at W & P thius year do you think. Cheers, Andy
  5. Hi9 Folks, I will be seeing Rex in the next few weekw to go through ideas for Arena events so I can ask him at them time if he has anything avaiilable. I know most of you from previous years and too tall for towing my F30 in the past so carry on with the ideas and we will see what we can work out ! Andy Mitchell
  6. Its no problem to set up stuff in the Arena when another event is taking place (we have to juggle that every year), just have to time things right, and anyway the public like to see lots happening. I think its great that people are thinking ahead, that way we can make a much better show and have the chance to show off the vehilces in ways they can and are used ! Andy
  7. Hi Mike and everyone else ! Keep em in the loop with the Arena as I am always happy to have constructive criticism and ideas, at the end of the day its Myself and Rex that put together the running order. All the best, Andy
  8. Greetings folks, I have been chatting along with a few others on MLU about arranging a carrier only event in the Arena at W & P 2014 and had a lot of very positive feedback. As the most numerous armoured vehicles ever made I really want to make this work and we are so far up to 11 vehicles. Any "carriers" are welcome, universal, bren, T16, Lloyd, Windsor, Carden Loyd VI, MG carrier in fact I think we could include the Renault Chenilette if anyone brought one over - I have only ever seen one working ! It would be a first at War and Peace and to represent as many different producing countries in the D DAY anniversary year would be good too, Canada, Australia, N Zealand, UK, USA. Oh and have a great Christmas everyone. Andy Mitchell
  9. Thats good news Shaun, hopefully we can make it again ! I will need another Carrier fix, oh and thanks to Rick for the ride in the Cromwell - just have to smile when in that turret. Remember - I need as many carriers - univeral and T16 and windsor etc for a specific event in the Arena at War & Peace next year ! Andy
  10. Hi there, We have one that is complete but needs full restoration - if anyone is interested please let me know. Andy Mitch
  11. Hi folks, I have to say, thoroughly enjoyed the show and helped out a little ! Now I want a carrier even more since first drive of one went so well. Great site and lots of potential for the futre, and would make a great end of season show !!!! May the FUDGE be with you !!!!!!!! Amdy Mitch

  14. Hi Folks, I have almost a full set (only 2 or 3 missing but I would need to check) of The War Illustrated (WW2) in good condition, plus the first 3 volumes in bound copy as well. I have just moved house and dont have anywhere for them any more so wondered if anyone could give them a good home ! They would need to be collected from Crawley W. Sussex. Let me know. Andy
  15. Hi, you should be able to get a response from the show marshalls in the area you are camped, thats what the "field" marshalls are for among other things..
  16. Hi folks, I thought I would copy and paste part of the "Rules" for the show which are given to all participants as part of your pack including vehicle entry numbers, thus you should have read and be aware of the content since you will have signed for it. Also, UK Road Law applies on the site with regard to insurance requirements and licence requirements. "Tracked Vehicle Movement All movement through the site must be with at least one escort person on foot in front of the vehicle wearing high visibility attire. The 5 M.P.H. speed limits apply unless you are in the Arena where 25 M.P.H. applies. Do not enter the 20 ft crowd safety zone. All passengers to be seated in appropriate seats, not on vehicle turrets. Under section 1, 2 and 3 as amended by the Road Traffic Act of 1991 you could be prosecuted for driving recklessly at this type of event if it was considered you have endangered the lives of other exhibitors or members of the public. Vehicle Movement Vehicle movement is to be kept to a minimum. No vehicle movement is allowed in the trade stand area on show days between the hours of 9.00am and 6.30pm. There is also no vehicle movement in the pedestrian area at any time, unless part of an organised display pre-agreed with the Organiser. Only persons licensed to drive may operate vehicles. Children may not ride motorcycles, quads, etc. during the show days. All Entrants must abide by this. Emergencies excepted unless pre-arranged with the agreement of the Organisers." Its there to make sure everyone is kept as safe as possible. Andy
  17. Hi all, We borrowed one of these to do WOT 2 rims a while back and worked really well. I do recall seeing them for sale at W & P a couple of years ago for £ 75.00 I think.
  18. Hi Locolines Just what I need to tow behind my Canadioan F30 Laat tractor, and I am going on the XXX trip ! Will you have it at war & peace? Andy
  19. Hi Rob, Having had a few of the british flatheads in the past it may be that you need a new coil, lucas do a hi power non ballast resisted one! std coil wont do as you have effectively 2 engines each of 4 cylinders. Also the condensor may be breaking down and lastly I did have a batch of 3 NOS rotor arms which were all u/s. I suppose the material breaks down with age ! Good luck, Andy
  20. Hi John, Welcome ! A friend of mine is 3/4 of the way trhough restoring the same vehicle in our workshop. pm me and I can send you his details. Andy
  21. Hi Tobin, you can get motorail from holland to Turin I think, and jeeps will fit on there but you may need to look at size for the Humber. All the best, Andy
  22. Greetings all ! We will definitely mention this in the Arena at W & P Revival. Cheers, Andy
