  1. Well I never really did a section for my HSC, it has been a 3 year restoration 1500 plus man-hours and ....$ and she is almost finished!!!! It was pretty much a ground up restoration (even though it was restored by the Dutch Calvary Museum) She has received all new electrical, mechanical, brakes, drive train, interior missing bits and bobs, drivers side window, engine rebuild and a list goes on... Pictures from the cavalry museum that I found, pictures in Holland at Joops, and some restoration pics. The head was warped, the cooling system was inadequate, the head bolts were stripped and you could not torque it down, the fuel system leaked, the wiring was an electrical nightmare, and the list goes on... http://s141.photobucket.com/user/lssah2025/story/16889
  2. I will check, I don't speak Italian well enough, and he doesn't speak English well enough, we usually exchange emails and schematics, drawings on our Humber restorations, but I will ask him...
  3. Photos of a friends Humber in Italy, I will update photos as he sends them to me.
  4. Welcome aboard, always good to see a restored recovery vehicle!!
  5. Nice picture Peter . I have the larger photo of this and from experience, working overseas with IED's, mines etc. this definitely looks like a AT mine that exploded at the front or just underneath of the Sherman, possibly setting off the internal ammunition, or worse case even possibly just a round went off inside without any external assistance (bad round etc.) remember the front drive is replaceable and is one of the weakest parts, you can see external debris scattered from the inside out, I can enlarge my photo and see smoke damage inside and do not see any entrance from the sides from a AT round. But we will never know...
  6. I finally found a HSC with a 1919 mounted, instead of a Bren or a Vickers. I have seen a .50 cal on the BTA 44th RTR, but this is definitely interesting, I would like to see what type of mount was used.
  7. Martin, let me know when you are back home so we can chat..
  8. Great pic Peter, I see another piece of beautiful British Kit that headed across the pond, time to bring more back the other way...

  16. No worries Rick, it has been a pain in the arse, trying to source parts, good thing I have friends and contacts overseas!!! I do have the other speedo if you need one for now, I can't remember if you sourced one yet.. I think I would look better in the Cromwell too...wanna trade? haha Have to figure out my next insane restoration!!!! almost 3 years now and over 1500 man hours to restore something that was suppose to have been restored,, go figure...
  17. That is part of the MAST kit for a WS22 set, definitely earlier than 45. I had 4 complete sets. Talk with Peter, he just got all the rest of my WS kit from the states... There is a complete MAST kit he should have.. From you pictures you have: Insulator W.T. B Ground spike Aerial Rod D (the big ones) you should have 8 to make a set Adapter No 1 (which screws on top of the D aerial, and uses the F set to increase the length of the aerial) Aerial Rod F (which is usually with Aerial Holder No 2 I think (pic below) this has a hammer, and includes Aerial Base No 11and aerial base spike with 6 F sections) You need 2 insulators W.T chain with guide lines (on Ebay) Canvas bag Hammer Reaming tool 10 Pegs (which you can find on Ebay) you can use post war ones, they are silver I can get you the complete list if needed.
