I've been checking this forum for about a year and realize that I should say something, maybe even contribute if I can.
I have a Welbike Mk. 2 that I got from a guy in California about 4 years ago. Its a Mk.2 and had lots of problems. It is nearly finished,but it'll' take quite a bit more. I have a fairly good shop and can do much of the work required.
I graduated from Penn State in 1960 (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) and Clarkson University (Master of Science in Engineering Science). I was employed by Bell Laboratories and Western Electric Company and retired in 1989. Now I know what the guys meant when they told me that "you will be very busy in retirement". Heck, it's 24/7 with no holidays or vacation. I love it !!
