  1. Drive train, transfer case and transmission needed a complete rebuild (internals below how I found them), and custom build to radiator..
  2. Martin, do you own HSC F199036? If so I have been trying to track you down for a few years.. Lance
  3. OK little update, just finished redoing the cooling system, redid the radiator to make it look more like the original, just received all of the gauges back, now before everyone goes crazy, the man that did them, did them all with chrome bezels, even my AFV one !!!! so they will get a nice coat of dull flat black to go in the HSC. He did a helluva job on them though, all of them were rebuilt and painted by hand, picture of the old and new... Will get pics of the new radiator when it is back this week,,,,,
  4. Rick, contact Peter Hommes, I just sold him all of my WS kit (from the USA), included was almost 2 complete installation sets for a Sherman and I also have the WS38 AFV in there as well, plus all the junction boxes etc. So you might be able to get all at once, several of my sets worked A and B. . He also has 15 or so other WS 19 sets in stock with carriers etc from a friend of mine in Canada that he bought to. He still might be unloading the 900kg pallet..... I will also be selling my AFV speedo that I have in the Humber, I think it was for a centurion, I have the correct one for my HSC now, don't know if you still need one.. Lance http://www.elalamein.eu/ UPDATE, looks like he is starting to list some of my old kit http://www.elalamein.eu/wireless
  5. The kurz rounds are currently being produced, I have fired several thousand live out of my STG44. It is produced in Uzice, Serbia by Prvi Partizan. http://www.prvipartizan.com/
  6. 1st Marine Airwing (that might be from Marine night fighter squadron VMF(N)-513 Flying Nightmares at Wonsan, Korea, in 1952. It is a Grumman F7F-3N Tigercat night fighter.
  7. Looking good, probably will just keep the NA in the 90 but will put the 200 or 300 in the 110 that I am looking at, will use the 110 for expedition and towing, make it more posh, keeping the 90 MOD..
  8. The original Landy seats are still more comfortable than the Humber Scout ones!! The HSC is 99% done now, just have to redo a radiator and fan shroud for the HSC, trying to track down an appropriate replacement, prefer original but still looking to possibly replicate one if need be...
  9. Hey Richard, how is everything? Also the Saab seats were very very comfortable...
  10. Luckily it had the updated seats in it when I got it, but would love to do a Safari in a Series!!! I have been looking at 110's with the R380 and LT77. Withams has some nice ones right now, this one will by LHD for the states, I will keep my RHD 90 for the states as close to MOD specs as feasible, will probably switch to wolf seats and maybe some wolf goodies (minus the engine). If I get the R380 I will go for a 300TDI, if the LT77 I will do the 200TDI. Would love to get the info from you. I will have it installed prior to my next trip, I am thinking about another cross country excursion in the 110 sometime in 2013, I think heading south into Morroco. Then will ship back to US after that. The Tithonus 110's they have are in good shape, and would only need the 200TDI upgrade, PAS and a few other things and I think they are ready to go.
  11. Tony, it was a lovely test drive, 20 days on the road, 11 countries, I got more looks in it than other cars on the road, especially out of the UK!! It definitely was fun to drive at 55 MPH or so on the highways, got to play in the mountains and in the mud in a couple of countries. Currently scoping out a 110 to add to the collection... The 110 will be upgraded though to a 200/300 TDI and some other goodies, to make it my expedition vehicle. I want to keep the 90 as close to military config as possible (minus cubby and seats), might try and put some wolf front seats in it, but the Saab seats look pretty close.
  12. Well I picked this up from a gentleman in November, and then drove cross country 4000km and ended up in Romania, where she will sit until April, then I will drive back to the UK via a different route. He purchased it from Withams last year, and he had some work done on it. Vehicle came out of Cyprus with an original 64K Km on the clock, chassis and bulkhead are great, no rust, rear cross member in great condition, no welding etc. I purchased it from him, what he paid from Witham's. 13. Very nice, been having to get rid of my toys due to a divorce , dingo, cannons, jeeps and finally the HSC!!!!
  14. I figured as much with the wiring, but thought they should be similar, 2 power and 1 ground etc.
  15. Thanks Andrew, I actually picked up the 2 gears in question and a complete humber box transfer case. I did not have the manuals for the box, so didn't know if they were the same, but received confirmation from other Humber owners..
  16. Les , anything to do with Humbers I have researched over the last few years (all of the pics are from yahoo/google search, so I really don't know who's vehicles they are, except for mine)... And since I found out that you have a few Humbers you are probably the goto guy, along with Clive..
  17. Here is your duck blue.. Humber Heavy Box

  19. My HSC will soon be finished and will be for sale...after a 2 year restoration and over 1500 man hours... I have some new issues to work out and do some finish work. Pics and video from the HSC MK II http://www.warwheels.net/humberscoutcarINDEX.html (St. Louis, Mo.) http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Humber_Scout_Cars.pdf Just replaced the throw out bearing and master cylinder... Any definite answer if the Humber Box transfer case will work? ANYONE? Lance
  20. Andy, nice project, you don't have any spare transfer case gears do you? Lance
  21. Well after doing more research, I might be in luck, it appears that this gear is only used to engage the front prop shaft for 4WD, so best case scenario is until a proper replacement is found (or milled), I might be able to use a spacer instead of the gear and keep it 2WD. :nut: I don't think it will hurt the vehicle since 99.9% of the time it would not need its 4WD... I have access to a Humber Box transfer case with gears anyone know if these are the same?
