  1. Ok got into trying to fix some of the oil/transmission leaks, trouble shoot a hum when it was in neutral.. Graphite throw out bearing was cracked, replaced that and worked on the clutch. It had some play in the drive shaft, got into the transfer case and transmission (all of the bearings were blued and crappy), looks like it was ran without oil for a short period of time, so either the bearings were shat to begin with or someone forgot to put some oil in it when it was originally put back together, ran it like that, then put oil in it "not a happy camper", since when it was opened up, there was no metal shavings...to make more insult looks like they just decided to put back the crappy gears and sell it as restored. So Now I am looking for 2 transfer case gears, #5 and #16 transfer case parts for the HSC. Info from plate F4 (5) wheel gear spur 23 teeth sliding (16) wheel gear spur 41 teeth intermediate. Wondering if these are still available? And if these were used in the Humber Heavy Utility, Super Snipe etc...
  2. I know what it is worth, believe me....unfortunately the HSC will be on the market.... I will let it out of the bag when it happens, the only reason it will go is because of the Big D (marital assets). Joe was getting information for the 2nd party (possible value for liquidation) and is acting as an independent 3rd party only. They are not the POC on the vehicle.
  3. First event out, had some teething problems, but overall was a good time.....
  4. Thanks Niels :cool2:, Yes it is wrong, the wire cutters go there and a smatchet goes on the roof, I haven't had the opportunity to fix the roof holder for the smatchet. That is actually a WWI repro smatchet (US version) which is very similar to a Brit one, minus the correct carrier. I decided to throw it there,,,didn't have my wirecutters handy at the time.

  6. 4/24/12 ITS ALIVE,,,it has been running for a few days, just finishing up some minor leaks, did some external markings today, starting to put in some interior goodies.. Still have to fix the temp gauge and amp gauge. All of the lights function per the book, need to do some touch up painting after everything is bolted back in. Going to take it on a test spin and hopefully to a event this weekend!!!
  7. Modified carb linkage for throttle and choke, plus other goodies, tyres put on rims and more engine work.
  8. Ahh that is not the good one, that is the one that it came with (Centurion, I think), I still have the nice one to get refurb'd :-D
  9. Couple of new pictures, just completed the air vent for the fuel tank, redid the external first aid box, carb on, and redid the extinguisher and bracket. Have to finish the top armour hatches, the commanders seat and a few more small items. Put on the new tyres, will get some pics of them. Have to finish up the brakes, do a few more small items and fire up the engine in the next few weeks and trouble shoot anything that comes up...So she is about 98% done now :nut:..... 2 plus years and counting!!!!

  11. The wiring is from the east coast of the USA, I live in the states, I will check with my mech. and get the contact info. Also the wiring that I am using is not correct for the vehicle, it would of been cloth covered (black) the wiring I am using is cloth covered, but chose to use different patterns/colors to trouble shoot any wiring/electrical issues down the road.
