  1. Welcome aboard!!! One of my favorite are the Desert Rats.. My HSC is marked up from the 44th RTR 4th Armoured Brigade and also 11th Hussars 7th Armoured Division. Several of my fav. pics from Normandy, Holland and Germany.
  2. So I decided to add some field mods, so it will not exactly look like it rolled off the factory floor anymore, but maybe a return from REME after a service and a fix... Added the two top handles, mine had the holes already there and just stips of metal were covering them, so nothing was. drilled, just replaced. Also added a step like Jack-in-the-Box has, from Bovington (but a little different). Also sourcing a Sherman foul weather hood to use it like these other ones.
  3. Thanks Stefano, I have an inquiry out on the MLU about it.
  4. OK second inquiry, interior color for a 42 GMC Fox, silver?
  5. Well Niels, I already knew your answer to that, heard you will be meeting us in Holland early September to pick up some goodies..
  6. Ahh figured a few pics of some bits and bobs.. PAS put on, great for those narrow arse streets and tight parking in cities. She is going to get a new respray in Nato green, and will make another trip back west this fall, and then head across the pond to the USA.... several pics of the 13 country excursion too. UK to Holland Obersalzburg Stavelot Belgium Road in Belgium "Ardennes"
  7. OK guys you are off topic :-D. Only two to choose from, (WW2 vehicles only) the HAC MK IV or Fox MK I. No other goodies allowed in this poll... This is actually for a potential buy, so I am looking for good honest information. I already have a HSC and have delt with all the Rootes/Humber issues and have spares, two friends have MKIV's and two have Foxes. Pros: 37mm over .50 cal. GM parts over Rootes/Humber etc. Cool factor? Driving factor? Rarity factor? Cost or value factor?
  8. Thanks Peter, see you in about a month to go over those other thingy's.... So we getting Chinese again or are we going to try something different this time? Fingers crossed for another 1 to 2 projects :cool2:. Well this time I know I won't get pulled over by the two hot Dutch policewoman again while trying to back into a tight arse parking spot at the bed and breakfast with my Landy that didn't have power steering and they thought I was drunk, I almost wish one of them would of given me a breathalyzer.....
  9. OK well decided to do a few field modifications to her, so today had a step made and grab handles. Need to tidy up the engine compartment, touch up nicks and scratches in the interior etc. after redoing the tranny and radiator, sandblasted the jack and accessories today, will get primed and painted, the brackets to hold them will go in in a few weeks when they arrive, have to make the holder for the jack handles etc, that are located towards the bottom of the engine compartment on offside. Still trying to find a few more goodies, like the inspection lamp bracket, pretty much have written off a binnacle for now, looking at a modified PLM mount (field mod) and a few other goodies. Have about 95% of the CES kit for it so she is almost 100% complete per what is required per the books, then maybe a few shows and possibly over across the pond for some events in 2014!!!!
  10. OK, quick little Poll. What vehicle would you rather own and why?: Humber Armored Car MK IV or a GM Fox MK I? Lance
  11. More poze.. custom radiator and new ignition coil Oil can bracket and foot pump holder New radiator and side skirts New fuel tank expanison/air line Pick and shovel redone and side view Front view with some minor work on the master cylinder and lines being completed Rear convoy light and new radiator drain pug installed for easy draining
  12. Cheers for that. Just trying to doing some numbers crunching!
  13. Thanks Tony, any idea on possible worth, even if it doesn't goto the UK but possibly stay in Holland?
  14. OK guys how much do you think a Dutch deact 37mm barrel and breach (M6) for armoured vehicles and a Besa MK III would be worth? Also is there any issue selling it to someone that is allowed to have said pieces in the UK? Lance
  15. Great job guys, I am envious, I want to go heavier than the scout and armoured cars one day!!!! True beauty..:-D
  16. Well I see Rick went with Shufti Cush, hopefully not a lot of people can read Arabic....:cool2: Let us know if you get any takers to show you, if so please take pics...
  17. Yes, I know what you mean.. don't forget to send me pictures and info on our other discussion...:-D
  18. Very nice Luigi, you are planning to bring the Humber to Holland for the 70th yes?
  19. FYI Shufti cush does not mean looking good... it means show me your fanny in Arabic... You also have Alla Keefak- take it easy... Ala Kareem- Giving/being generous or forebearing... I have been tempted to put Shufti.. on my HSC when I have 44th RTR markings on it, might go with something more appropriate though
  20. Luigi, sourcing the parts for you, I have the lucas horn, oil pressure gauge, CAV switch so far. Still need to track down, wiper motor, switch and temp gauge.
  21. New restored gauges being installed and more pics on the restoration, over 900 now. http://s141.photobucket.com/user/lssah2025/slideshow/1944%20HSC%20Mk%20II?sort=6
  22. New side skirts and custom radiator, all completed.
  23. Luigi, I think I have a NIB Cav switch and I just had my gauges restored, I think I restored an extra oil pressure gauge, will check out tomorrow, I can also try and track you down a water temp. gauge. Also pics of the newly restored gauges going in. These are the gauges, and I think this is the CAV switch, can't remember if this is the picture of it. CAV Oil pressure Gauge Other restored gauges that just were installed after being finished in black
