  1. I gave up with mine and bought a new one from Sodbury in the end which was thankfully only £100 but that was 8 years ago. They are ridiculously expensive new.
  2. Was a really great day thanks to those who made it possible.
  3. The best tutorial for rebuilding the gearbox is on youtube, the guy does each section in short easy to follow stages. Now....having said that I made two common mistakes - 1) On the end of the shift rail there should be a thimble cup that stops the oil leaking into the bellhousing and its often overlooked. I bought mine 2 years before and forgot to fit it. Dallas do a mod that keeps it held in place. 2) To stop oil leaking into the handbrake you can I'm told use a sealant behind the rear gear of the gearbox, I didnt do this either. So my box will be dropped in the coimng months to do theres, frustrating but a necessity.
  4. Met him once, he was a nice guy and had a great collection.
  5. My Wolf 110 was registered as estate car and I had no problems.
  6. The Vickers on one traders stall priced at £5.5k sold apparently! :wow:
  7. I'll see if I can live with it, I'm getting used to it with my Jeep....I'm too used to the Wolf still and getting places in good time but I'm sure I'll adjust.
  8. Hi Simon, Could you pm me where they were made please? Would be interested in one, I was going to make one myself but buying may be the way to go... Thanks Carleton
  9. Love it Ron! The low power is something I'd like to 'fix' on mine but I havent figured out how yet.... maybe a very large rubber band. Failing that I may actually go with a B series engine. Carleton
  10. See my posting on the forum about Brens a few years ago, I felt they were inching up in price but theyve jumped recently. For me deacs are getting out of reach now which is a great shame, I really wanted a Browning Hi power but £650 is just too much to tie up. Where will it all end? A limited few with the funds to invest? No idea. Carleton
  11. Both our Jeeps and the Morris had vapor lock problems on the way down and at the show. Talking to other owners of older cars there were literally dozens of old vehicles having the problem. One lightweight broke down by our tents with it. Each time we fixed the problem by squirting fuel into the lines with a plant sprayer which will now stay in my Jeep permanently until I find a fix. Carleton
  12. Louis Wright a good friend who runs the Market Gardeners group came over and did a thorough explanation on how it worked, he owns 2 of them. I probably wouldnt do it justice if I tried to explain. What a fine Jeep that is in the background
