earlymb Posted April 18, 2019 Share Posted April 18, 2019 There are several models Solex carbs that will work on a jeep but were used on various other cars, if you look around you may find a good original one for pennies! I'm currently using a Solex that was originally for a 1970's Opel Kadett whilst the original Carter is in pieces on the workbench and the jeep runs just fine on it, and even a bit more economical. It cost me less than €20 but because the choke linkage faces the other was I had to make a small bracket so the cable makes a U-turn.
