Runflat
Most of the survivors listed here. Not sure how many of the Australian ones are on though. http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Matildas.pdf
Richard Farrant
This begs the question where are all the Matilda's is there any in private hands and in running order. If you look at the list that Runflat has put a link to, the one belonging to Peter Ray, in NSW is in restored running order and has been taken by the Australian Army on several occasions, for commemerative events in Canberra, etc. Matt from Oberon in NSW has one that is taken out on runs to local shows as well. Shakey985
That is an impressive list, it would appear that we downunder have saved a lot. I will take some photos of our variants after I get back from Corowa. Are there any in private hands in the UK that are not on the list. Runflat
Some bits in Dunbar. Probably past worth salvaging?: http://www.secretscotland.org.uk/index.php/Secrets/DunbarTankWreck http://www.ww2f.com/wwii-today/26610-matilda-tank-wreck-east-lothian.html I also recall someone advertising some engine covers recently, but can't recall or find again where. Did I dream it? Photos of Matildas in Russia http://rkkaww2.armchairgeneral.com/galleries/Lendlease/Matilda.htm
Runflat
Found it. Located in Oz, unsurprisingly: http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/showthread.php?p=110312
AlienFTM
It is a Matilda 2. All Matildas as we know them are Matilda 2s. The original Matilda was an entirely different beast and IIRC its sole armament was a turret MG. ISTR open tracks going all the way round on the outside like a Churchill but without mudguards.
