cripp
Took my jeep on it's first real run today. Did a 250 mile round trip to Southampton to pick up a trailer. Jeep performed superbly, trundled along quite happily at 55. Very windy coming back and pretty cold. Fuel economy was better than I expected. Usually I fill the tank and running around the town I'd have to fill it again after just over 100 miles. We did 190 today and filled up with the needle about half way between empty and 1/4. All in an enjoyable but(t) numbing day.

cripp
Very cold and numb. I knew it would be trouble, legs are now jumping all over the place(spasms).
Mark
It looks so much better with a trailer and drives better I think, I know mine does
cripp
You're right Mark it does look better and I think it does drive better. I think the extra bit of weight makes for a slightly less bumpy ride.
demon
You'll find once you fill your trailer she'll drink fuel. Not so much on the motorway but around the country roads and around town with all the stop start stuff. I presume youo have a Hotchkiss engine in your jeep :?: . Hence the 55 cruising speed. cripp
She drinks fuel allready! Nope it's not a hotch engine. It's 11/18/43. MB330495, fully rebuilt last year.
