Mark Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I have been asked by a mate to try and obtain a price for an M20 3.5 Inch Rocket Launcher or Bazooka as used in WW2 and Korea, ultimately this will be for sale when I get some pictures sent through, has anyone any idea and it is am early de-ac with certificate. Thank you Quote
Marmite!! Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Paid £120 for mine & most I've seen have been about that price... there's no such thing as early or late spec deacs for launchers... there are to the same standard irrelevant of the date of deactivation... Quote
Great War truck Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 The M20 was not used during WW2. You want a 2.36" for Ww2. Tim (too) Quote
Mark Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) See this is what I am looking for, experience and knowledge thank you very much. Edited January 17, 2009 by Mark Fingers too big Quote
Marmite!! Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Designed in 1944 but never went into full production until after the war... Quote
Great War truck Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Thats right. Often described as WW2, but was the post war replacement for the 2.36. Hundreds came into the country and were deactivated about 20 years ago. They were sold for about £65 each at that time because there were so many of them. They are very interesting if you collect post war de-acs but totally wrong for a WW2 re-enactor. Tim (too) Quote
Mark Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 Thank you that is interesting, I will be putting it up for sale tomorrow for the chap concerned when I get the picture, also he will be selling an M16 that has been converted at some time to fire .22 when it was with the TA but now de-ac again, both come with certificates. Mark Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Cheers Lee one more question he has an SLR bayonet with scabbard and an SA80 bayonet, any ideas on the price of these please. regards Quote
Marmite!! Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 SA80 £30-£50 SLR £20-£40 Prices they go for on ebay... Quote
Great War truck Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 just watched the film "The eagle has landed". lots of m20's in there. So, i would say that as long as you are re-enacting that film, then the carrying of an M20 is quite correct. Maybe also Battle of the Bulge. Tim (too) Quote
ArtistsRifles Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Cheers Lee one more question he has an SLR bayonet with scabbard and an SA80 bayonet, any ideas on the price of these please. regards FWIW - they were knocking out new SLR bayonets in the scabbard still wrapped in preservative paper for £5 at W&P....
