Question

Help

Brought these at beltring and i have not got any idea what they fit!! I brought them for a mate after describing them over the phone and we thougth that they fitted a 101 - alas not the 101 shock bushes are big but not this big!!.

the dims are inside 25.50mm the outside is 48.00mm the one in the box is marked in its wrapper "LV6/MT1 LU/9056/34 BUSH FERRULE RUBBER QTY 4"

I am thinking bedford but i might be wrong!!

they cost us two pounds per packet and i would rather see them used as they are still supple and all that!!

PS If i have done it correctly you should see a picture!!

I think the part number is a bit misleading, it is a Lucas prefix, but rubber has Girling on it, clue here . Lucas and Girling were one company. Girling made shock absorbers.......it looks like a bushing for s/a eye. Looking for a Bedford parts book to check.

Having found the above, I can say that they fit the shock absorbers on commercial vehicles. 1 pair per 'ring end' fixing.

If you still have them - they fit my vehicle (which has a Bristol chassis) , and I could make good use of them !! How many packets do you have ?? Peter

they to me look like land rover top rear shock bushes

definately...they will fit more or less any Series Landrover except possibly 80" models......use them on front / back / top and bottom of the shocks....one either side of the shock 'ring' then a big flat washer on the outside and a thick spilt pin shoved through the hole to hold the lot on and as tight as possible.

..mind you ...they probably fit loads of other vehicles of that era too.....:D:D:D
