bawtrylwt
My dodge will not start fuel is getting through I've changed the coil 6v going into coil, has any one any ideas what to check next could it be the condensor?
Tony B
No spark at plug? Condenser, check points not closed up. Rotor arm and cap. Cap may have hairline crack best to change. Spark the coil lead to make sure it getting to cap.

Tony B
There goes another diploma:rofl: Just a lot of experience with a 101. My Dodge, the only time that Lady ever played up was a loose starter wire on the switch. Hey worth checking! As you know mate when a tractor goes down in the middle of hay making or harvest, you learn barnyard enginnering bl**dy quickly. :-D PS Bawtrylwt, if you havent got one invest a couple of quid in a spark gap. Goes on the top of plug and into lead, allows you to see the spark without frying yourself. Edited July 8, 2008 by Tony B

Degsy
Since you have power at the coil, next check for spark at points, if not, change points and condenser, also check carbon brush in cap, this is a very likely cause of your problem.Work through the system methodically following the path of the current and you should find the source of your problem. Send me your condenser & a SAE & I will test it on a Megger. Or bring it to Beltring for a test. http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/TESTINGCONDENSERSRW.pdf
