gazzaw
Does anyone have any handy tips to remove OD paint from the 3 data plates on a GPW Glove box? This has been done by a previous owner and would prefer to try and save the paint etc from underneath. Thanks gazza

Thanks gazza Try some thinners or white spirit, might soften the paint enough to get it off or use paint stripper in small areas, as soon as it starts to blister the paint immediately wash it off with water

Tony B
Use a cotton bud and wipe with acetone nail varnish remover. Depending on how thick the paint is a gentle warm with a hot air stripper or butane torch will soften it. Good idea to mask the edges of the plate with a thin smear of Vaseline. Have a bucket of soapy water ready to neutralise any nastys when the paint starts to lift. AND always use gloves and eye protection.
