Poptopshed Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 The handbrake on Stalwarts is a similar type of ratchet handbrake. Quote
abn deuce Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 it would seem from the perspective shown that that one either enters the cab from the opposite side door or climbs over the brake ? seems ackward . I guess there's a reason why they mounted the throttle so high ? as in to avoid mud and debis if mounted on the cab floor ? or ? Quote
LeeEnfield Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 My Bedfords got this small attached lever on handbreak;.....Its used to release it. Quote
snowtracdave Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Many years ago we had an Austin FG and where it was garaged meant climbing in from the passenger side , over/round the engine cover and into the drivers seat....the number of times I tried to get in the seat to find two foot odd of gearlever gone up the leg of my boilersuit ! Tends to bring you to a rapid standstill ! Quote
