MartinN
I have a 1940,s Raleigh pushbike. In the process of restoring it. Need some new tyres. The wheel rims are 24” in diameter and 1 1/8 wide. Don’t have the original tyres for it. My local bike shop says he cannot get the tyres for it. Anyone any ideas what are the correct tyres for it and where can I get them? Richard Farrant
Martin, They seem small wheels for a 40's bike. Here is a link to a large range of 24" tyres, in Luxembourg. https://www.rubbex.com/en-lu/bicycle/bicycle-tyres/size-in-inches/24-inch
MartinN
I think the tyres are 26 inch. The 24 inch is the actual steel rims.

No, 24" tyres, fit 24" rims. 26" tyres, fir 26" rims. 24" is a common size, lots of mountain bikes are 24", however 24" road bikes are a common children's size. eBays has dozens of hits. Tyres in Wheel Size:24 in, Compatible Bike Type:Road Bike | eBay
