Contempory Vehicle Markings

Ian J

Question

Hi folks,

I am now the owner of a 1998 Wolf 90 Hard top, the only one in New Zealand that I know of.  Can someone point me in the direction of a source for British MV markings please?  Preferrably markings that would match a vehicle of that vintage and Scotish regiments and my father e=was a career soldier in various Scottish regiments.

Cheers

Ian

Hello Ian

When I escaped the clutches of HM service, individual unit / vehicle markings were not common.   Certainly no arm of service and divisional signs as were the norm in the 70's.

They had been virtually discontinued in the mid-eighties.  The only exceptions being the union flag front and rear,  and sometimes the squadron/company symbols displayed on the side. (Triangle for A Coy,  Square for B Coy, Circle for C Coy etc).

I don't recall any Wolf Rovers bearing any markings, except RAD HAZ markings near antenna mounts.

Hope this helps.
