stanleywindrush Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Hi Progress has been good. Starting with a very degraded AMX13 I have now managed to restore at least 2 to running order over the last three years. I have now exhibited at Tankfest 2021 and will again at 2022. My latest is a 105 from deep storage in mainland Europe. Started off beige, now back in green. Its a 1964, used by Dominican republic, then in Asia... back to France and now with me in the UK. Looking like Im starting to know a bit about these tanks!? // Pictures of latest restoration 2 Quote
Bob Grundy Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 A good while ago there was one at a touristy sort of place called Botany Bay near Chorley, Lancs. For some reason, I forget now, we were there and the AMX intrigued us. and in we went. No room at all, drivers hatch was closed and trying to get it open from the fighting compartment I got seriously stuck. most unpleasant, on my own I would be still there..... Quote
Bob Grundy Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 It must twenty odd years ago but I remember it was dark and I was caught on loose but jammed sheet metal panels. Quote
