Higginsboat
This museum is great fun, it's relatively small but has a big heart. Lots of hands on exhibits. Well worth a visit. Had great fun climbing on a Sherman, and sitting in a Jeep, and putting on some kit. Don't know about now, covid-19 times, but loved our visit last year. Staff were really friendly. Rootes75
We have been for the open day show they have each year with reenactors and the like. Lovely place as you say, lots of hands on exhibits and plenty for kids to keep occupied.
Rootes75
Spent yesterday (23/04) at Castletown D-Day Museum, as always a great day out. Its so nice to have a museum where people can sit in vehicles or pick up exhibits, learning more than just the written text. I took my 10 year old along, he jumped at the chance to go. Both decked out in our full 37 pattern kit. It was so good to see many like minded younger people wanting to carry on the mantle of re-enacting and carry on the storytelling of events from WW2.
