Universal carrier hull numbers

I have been asked to verify a Canadian Universal carrier, but I am having great difficulty in finding a list of hull numbers to verify the year of manufacture. Does anyone know where I can find such a list?

If I remember correctly, the build date is stamped alongside the number on the top edge of hull in front of the driver.

Thanks very much Richard, it's been driving me mad trying to get information about the build date, with  Jeeps it is so easy, but some other vehicles it can be a real nightmare.

Hello John, that’ll be my Carrier then. It has a lower hull number, an upper hull number and a serial number. Luckily as Mr Farrant says Ford helpfully stamped the serial number and date of manufacture on the front plate of the armour (see attached).
