LeeEnfield
Looks to be a good piece of kit, though.
snowtracdave
For someone with a St Albans adddress and a Scottish sounding name his grasp of written English is a little tentative. Looks very scammy doesn't it ?
ArtistsRifles
FWIW - the photos show Foreign (German??) number plates on the vehicle- if it's in St Albans (also note the "St" misssing) why is there no mention in the ad of the need to get it UK registered/SVa'd ASAP??? andreadavide
I 've sent my usual naive mail from Italy... 8-) Let's hear from him..... Andrea
snowtracdave
I see this now has another ebay listing, this time by the genuine owner who doesn't sound too impressed that somebody else is trying to sell the truck sitting in his back yard ! andreadavide
I bought it! 2,400.00 quid delivered! Oh... what a bargain! Is there anyone in Westbury / Wilts who could find this self styled ;-) Alan McDonnell (additional details available privately)? I'd like to send him a one-quid moneygram (did you know that Western Union is a eBay preferred partner now?) just to have him showing himself at the post office having someone snapping his pissed off picture, or any better (worse for nim) idea.... Markheliops
On a serious note chaps - If someone is selling a decent military vehicle they would advertise on Milweb. My rule is if it's not on Milweb or CMV - I won't touch it with a barge pole. Probably suspect or a pile of junk. Markheliops
andreadavide
They have pulled it as soon as I forwarded them the sellers' reply. now I am heavily dealing with the seller about the escrow europa service. By the way, he wants the money sent via moneygram to Westbury/Wiltshire, but I have seen that there are a few different Westbury around UK. What if I tell him that by mistake I sent the money to the wrong Westbury and he hass to travel a bit? Andrea
ArtistsRifles
Tell him you sent the wrong currency too.....
andreadavide
Alas, the good old Italian Lira (you needed 3,500 of them to make a UK pound) was swapped for euro five years ago, otherwise it would have been a good idea. Now I am waiting for the proforma invoice to be sent, on the name and office address of the head of Computer Crime unit of our police..... 8-) Andrea
