TankNutUK Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Andrew, A great project for somebody. I have my own HU project on the go at the moment and wish the buyer all the best. Alan Quote
AmphibAndy Posted November 11, 2019 Author Posted November 11, 2019 Still for sale . A great project for someone. Quote
wally dugan Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 ANDREW HONYCHURCH had one for sale in the last week or so looks to be in the same condition may be the same one on Milweb Quote
Rootes75 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 I saw the one on Milweb and thought this may be the same. Quote
TankNutUK Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 The photographs above are of Andrew Honychurch's Humber Heavy Utity. Same one as for sale on Milweb. Quote
Rootes75 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Nice vehicles, bit too pricey for me though. Would like to have a go at a wartime Commer. Quote
johann morris Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 A lovely vehicle and something that I would really enjoy restoring but way over priced for it's condition. I can just imagine the conversation with my dear wife. Jon Quote
Rootes75 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Condition rarely puts me off, I must admit to liking things that are deemed 'past restoration', its much more of a challenge. I do like the Humber but to go for something like that the price would have to be a lot lower. At the end of the day though a vehicles value is what someone is willing to pay for it not a theoretical value. Quote
AmphibAndy Posted May 31, 2020 Author Posted May 31, 2020 I am open to sensible offers but I don’t want it to be broken for spares or converted into an ambulance or something. It’s also a rare thing and I don’t know where you find another project now. Quote
Rootes75 Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Totally understand where you are coming from Andy. Have just read back some of your posts, you bought 2 of these? Am very keen on Rootes vehicles and have been trying to find a wartime Commer. This is very tempting. Quote
Rootes75 Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Andy, Do you have anymore photos that you could pm me? Could you tell me a little more about her and the overall condition of the chassis/mechanicals/engine etc. Also in your opinion does she need a complete frame replacement? Thanks Kevin Quote
AmphibAndy Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 Now sold Thank you for the interest. N Quote
Rootes75 Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Thanks for letting me know. I must admit to being quite taken by it, I am really hunting for a wartime Commer but if another Humber box comes up I will be keen to take a look. Kevin Quote
davdberg Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Anyone aware of any Humber FWD/Utility spare parts? Axles, engine, chassis? Quote
rupert condick Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I might as well, say I am looking for parts for a Humber HU 1941, drawings etc, mostly body parts information. regs Rupert Quote
