john1950
There are fewer of the few left now with the death being announced of Squadron Leader Geoffery Wellum D.F.C. aged 96. He apparently was the youngest pilot to fly in the Battle of Britain. Condolence to his family and thanks to him for being there R.I.P. earlymb
RIP... Geoffrey Wellum's exploits were the basis of the BBC film 'First Light' with Sam Heughan playing Wellum and in which he himself featured too. It's a very nice movie that I would recommend if you haven't seen it yet. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1653661/?ref_=nv_sr_1
