Philip Eilenberg Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 As a new member, I would like to find out if there is any information on my 1929 Rolls-Royce 20HP, registration: WM4068, which was converted to an ambulance in 1940 and stationed at RAF Biggin Hill. After the war it was used as a coal van until 1970 and left in a barn in Bucklebury, until the mid-90's (see photo taken in 1984). I do not have any military numbers or any other detail. I have previously contacted the Royal Air Force Museum who put me onto Geoff Fletcher at FMW, but neither could help me; the only comment being "sadly no records of individual RAF vehicles (or RAF contracts) survive for the period up to 1949, there is only some photographic and other evidence". Thanks, Philip New Zealand Quote
