MatchFuzee
If you put in a Freedom of Information request you will receive the tractor's history. As an example, for 22 FD 83 https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/364071/response/887833/attach/3/20161021 FOI2016 09438 Hart.pdf

daleheywoodtanks
Well done. I so wanted to buy it, but sadly it went past my budget. I have some pics for you. You can have this one. I will PM you in order to send them in higher quality. the other pics i will need to speak to the vehicle commander, and get his permission. Yours is 42A, did you get the A.L.A. from the auction to go with it ? the original A.L.A. that was issued to that vehicle is buried in Kuwait. I do have the coordinates if you want to go dig it up ? probably not i guess. Yours was one of the first vehicles to cross the Kuwait, Iraq border. It took down the anti tank mound and pushed it into the anti tank ditch behind it, two challies were then trying to get through the gap at the same time. I will tell you more via email or PM. Once again, well done.
daleheywoodtanks
Sorry forgot to mention, The above pic is 42A towing 42B down saddams highway. 42C is not in this photo. The sappers were issued with three CET's, as a rule there was only ever two running. Give her some TLC and she will be fine. you may find the throttle cable on the operators side sticks a bit, usually when you get her up to full chat ! The call signs should still be stuck to the inside of the drivers hatch cover.
andym
The things that's always amused me about the CET is why it seems to have half a Royal Observer Corps bunker stuck on the top of it. Andy
