Topdog Posted August 6, 2007 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Does the Sterling SMG take the standard SLR bayonet and/or is part of the deactivation process to cleave the retaining lug so that it will not fit. sirhc Posted August 6, 2007 Share Posted August 6, 2007 David, The Sterling bayonet has a much larger hole in the mounting lug than the SLR bayonet, they are different part numbers. As that is what looks has been done to mine. The Sterling bayonet lug is also the folded stock retaining lug. I would imagine problems folding the stock if you messed with it. But what do I know?
